Fire1981
It doesn’t look opaque enough to be a Brick. I do think it’s a killer MFC slag🔥

akroorka
Akro Cornelians are and odd marble. In hand under direct light they will show no transparency, they appear to be opaque even though you may see some subsurface white just underneath the surface. If you backlight them they will show through and in many cases you can see internal structure. They are a semi opaque marble. I have never seen one with any purely transparent glass involved. I have one that I keep with my Cornelians that displays like a red “Flintie” when backlit—opalescent. If any transparent glass is displayed I would call the OP a well filled slag------ Just to add to the confusion, Cornelians were called “Bricks” by collectors in the early days of machine made collecting. The OP is not a Brick. Marble—On!!
