Carowill
Alley IMHO. Yellow is a rare color for Ravenswood.
akroorka
This is a nice one. Nice deep yellow with two varieties of white ( one of which appears to be opal) with a transparent base. Ya know what--I would not rule out Champion--I do suck at WVS ID though. All opinions are welcomed and appreciated. Marble--On!!
rockgardenplants
IMHO these come from two different manufacturers (after looking more closely).

rockgardenplants
I like Alleys... A question: the transparent areas are why I went with Ravenswood, so why are these Alleys? As many answers to this would be great. Gotta get more info on WV swirl ID. Can't be too difficult, right?
chicagocyclist
I think it's more why they're not Ravenswood. The swirls are nicely intertwining and very complex but Ravenswood swirls are more like sewn through the marble, diving down into the marble. coming out the other side and going back again. Often Ravenswoods are less busy than Alleys and these are pretty busy. so in the end, if they're not Ravenswood and they're looking like this then they're Alleys.

I'm passing on the ID tip that I got to help distinguish the two! I added to it a tiny bit from my own experience in using it. It is such a good tip; I shall never forget it.
wvrons
Ravenswood made very very few marbles with yellow. I have seen a 100,000+ Ravenswood marbles and only maybe 200 of them had any yellow. Odds are if it is a vintage swirl with yellow that Ravenswood is down the list of makers. Not impossible but low on the list of vintage swirl makers.
