Help with these please…

MERCY

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone ,

Im new here and am so ecstatic that I found  this place.😃 I’m really trying to learn how to correctly identify, but TBH I’m overwhelmed. I have already gained so much knowledge from this site and I’ve only been here a few hours. You guys are Amazing!
I stay up every night after everyone else goes to sleep searching the internet that match with the marbles my Grandpa left me.

Any Help or Suggestions would be Greatly Appreciated

I have to warn you though, There are a bunch of them, but I promise I’m not lazy and not doing any research on them and just wanting someone to do it for me. So please don’t think that since there are so many. Truthfully I kind of have an idea of what I think they may be, however I don’t really trust myself enough so be so sure. And believe me I have been wrong more times that I have been right. Lol

Thank you again for your time

-Mercy

"Welcome to Marble Connection Tracy"     :wave2:

Looks like a pretty good assortment of marbles from quite a few different manufactures.  Peltier, Akro, Alley, Marble King etc. I'm gonna hit the hay but many will be by tomorrow to give ya a hand in proper ID's. Again

Welcome!  You have a nice collection so far. Pace yourself, as marble burn out is a real thing. I know from experience. Lol Just be patient with yourself. There is a lot to learn. I’ve only been studying these glass orbs since November and I can confidently ID only a few companies. ;)

From the pics provided, pick your favorites. Snap 3-4 angles, close up, and post for ID. The green and red in #10 would be a good start. I like that one.

Hi Melissa, Yes I’ve definitely got a lot to learn. Never knew Identifying Marbles would be this hard. I enjoy it a lot, however it does take up a lot of my time. Thanks for the advice.
I like #10 as well, but #31 has been my long time favorite and I’m not even sure exactly what it is. Lol

I have to admit though I am a sucker for Hybrid Cats Eyes and we’ll unique Cats eye marbles in general. Kinda weird I guess?!

very nice to meet you Melissa

#31 is most likely a Heaton Sweet Potato.   Likie said above more and closer different views or sides of each marble makes identifications easier and more accurate. The numbers help but to many marbles in one post for identifications.  If you look below you will not see 34 marbles not even ten or very few five marbles in a single post for identifications. Learning marbles does take lots of effort and time. It will not happen in one year or two of steady work, for most people.  But it has many different rewards along the way through the years.

1, 3 & 7 would need another view or two.  2, 4, 5, & 6 are probably Alley.  15 is Marble King Bengal Tiger (older style).  22 & 23 are Peltier Rainbos.

Awesome! Thanks so much.
That Bengal Tiger I was pretty sure on , but I think what was throwing me off is deciphering between older and newer versions. I’ve seen others called a Bengal tiger on eBay and they look nothing like mine so I started doubting if I was right or not.

You did well Mercy to get any Id's on these.

Great images and numbered as well.

Work less in the future and give us three or four marbles at a time with multiple images.

It gives you and us here a greater chance at a positive ID.

Welcome Mercy---show some more!!

Thanks for the compliments and advice. I tend to have a hard time choosing which ones to post. I’ve got about 20 times as much as those that I posted. I’m drowning in marbles! Don’t get me wrong I’m enjoying every minute of it. Just never thought ID’ing marbles would be this extensive. I’ve definitely got a lot to learn.

nice to meet you

Just start with the ones that catch your eye--we all started there and still continue to have them catch our eye.

Different strokes for different folks.

No judgement here. Collect and show what you like.
