I also have amassed quite a lot of old wood, much in the form of advertising boxes.  I'm trying to find something creative and useful to do with it or else it will go out the door.  I covet less these days.

Some collections which I let grow but then downsized significantly were Cracker Jack toys, sewing buttons, and textile bobbins.

About 150 years for the oldest ones I can think of.  Those would be math textbooks or something more literary.  It's possible though that I have German books which are older.  Would need to see.  I lost some of my best math books in a basement water incident.  That loss helped me become more prepared to part with more.

What is your 200-year-old title?

I wish I had that strength to part with things... I'm definitely not a hoarder but I do collect a lot of things. IMG_20230804_112323.thumb.jpg.5e467a2bd11a208a68023fd5c7f30ede.jpgIMG_20230804_112326.thumb.jpg.6b45761e3cf8ec062e29cbfdd40a051b.jpgIMG_20230804_112336.thumb.jpg.6ffe09a38e4464a727973b7837985a0c.jpg

Old Schwinn Cruiser Bikes. I used to fix, restore, resell, and build my own Schwinn 10-speeds in my teens. However, back then I would have junked or trashed what I began collecting years ago.

About 30 bikes currently.

I also collect coins 🙃

First photo were given to me by my grandfather they are my great grandfather's from WWII (I love military collectibles)

Second are walking liberties

And third are all foreign coins from all over 🤓

I find them interesting and it's like holding history and the path it's walked in your hands hehe

Only two ... at this time.      His and hers tabbies.     The little one is mine.  She is a little bigger now, but happily she's still lapsize instead of quarterback size.

The big nutcrackers were Nordstrom display pieces, found in a local antique store. They weigh around 60lbs each, all wood. 6 feet tall.

Our biggest dog is around 10lbs, thinking “his” is bigger? We had a 20lb tabby who got tired of the dogs and moved to a neighbors house. Everyone was happy.

we once had 4 cats, “gifted” to us from teenage daughters shortly after they moved out, after 6 months.

one, named Ozzie, was a hunter. You never walked thru the house in the dark for fear of stepping on rat parts. He left a rats head in the dog food bowl one morning. He got torn up on a regular basis, $400 per vet visit. Had to nurse him back locked in my office, with the cone of shame. He finally didn’t come home, figured he outlived his nine lives. We were in the yard maybe 6 months later when he jumped over the fence to say hello. He was wearing a new purple collar. Sat with us for a few minutes then went back over the fence.

All 4 found new homes on their own.
