Pete Caparelli - RIP

Rich Maxwell posted this on the Vacor FB Board yesterday.  I knew Pete had been seriously ill for several years.  For those that don't recognize the name, he had one of the first marble chat boards - Land of Marbles, as well as his website with same name.  He was really into Mega marbles that were sold in the US.  He had an Excel spreadsheet with dates, pictures, etc. on each type of marble that was sold in bags in the US.  He was aware of ones sold around the world but wanted to focus on the US marketed Mega bags.  I never met him personally but we communicated over the years on Mega.  Prayers for his family.

Hope just text me. "Hi Rich, It is with a heavy heart that I am telling you about the passing of my husband Peter Caparelli. He unfortunately lost his battle against the neurological, degenerative, progressive disease Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type 2 (SCA2). Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers."

I am very sorry to hear this. Pete did a lot for the marble collecting community, and I extend my most sincere condolences to his family and all who loved him.

I am saddened to hear of this.  He brought a lot to the marble collecting community, especially in the earlier days.  We owe much to his memory.
