boris64
I was thinking meteor.... it does look like some photos on Google. I purchased from a jewelry that went out of business in the sixties. It had other precious minerals and gems. I found two one carrot diamonds also. mccracken
Has some sort of crystals---- maybe calcite, so my best guess is no. As they enter the atmosphere, friction causes a lot of heat.

boris64
I showed it to my work partner buddy who was a chemist but became a UAW electrician because he could make more money and he thought it may be a meteorite. Where can you take it and get a correct answer?
Tommy
Meteorites are tricky ...look for like run marks where it looks like it was melted and like blown back ..if that makes sense. It's from entering the atmosphere. It looks like yous has something else 8n it but it could be from where it was found laying in the ground could have been there a long time ...I took mine to a prospecting convention and got a good id on it . To be sure you gotta send it to the college in Colorado they have an extensive testing facility usually cut a small sliver and run it through the tests ...that's what I got on that and I have not sent mine in yet lol...I'll look for it and take a picture mine ... A prospecting club probably give you a good idea of what ya got Cool piece whatever it is 👍💥

copemys
It's hard to tell. It looks like a piece of native metal with some ?calcite inclusions. Try using a file on a small corner to see if it leaves a metallic surface. I have a chunk of native copper which has a similar appearance.
