Fire1981
That’s a nice Kokomo. Does it glow ? We’ll see if others think it’s a Pelt. The trait that leans towards Kokomo is that there’s no white base glass in between the 2 dark blue part of the ribbon on the outer edges of the ribbon it’s self🔥 RAR
DHUNNIE 27
Negative. Zero Glow.
Fire1981
That’s OK. I need to find the base glass in my Kokomo collection that glow🔥 RAR
Fire1981
We’ll see if others agree on the confirmation of the blue ribbon. Uuuugh! It could be a sloppy Rainbo🔥 RAR
Ric
If the base doesn't cast an opalescent glow when it's backlit I'd go with a Peltier Rainbo that is a little unusual. 1

This one spins Clock Wise🔥 RAR I don't get the idea of "spin" on a machine-made marble, unless we're talking about corkscrews. Honestly, I wouldn't know if the OP spun clockwise, counterclockwise, or not at all. How can you tell? Could you show me a comparison of right vs left spin on a machine-made? I am totally lost with this idea.

Some older machines were single cutoff where the knives cut and came back to make another cut. Some machines cut one way and then back again to make another cut and this would explain a reverse in the pattern. It would have to be 50-50 as a result. This is my best Ric but I can imagine it going--- (in my head at least.) Perhaps Peltier changed the direction of their cutoff knives at some point? Marble—On!!
Ric
@akroorka I appreciate the response, Art. It was an admirable attempt to explain. Unfortunately, I still don't get it. Can you contrast the traits that indicate clockwise vs counterclockwise spin on these marbles? I could probably figure it out from there.
akroorka
OK Ric, Imagine a piece of candy cane. They are cut from a cane of sweet stuff one is right--the next is left--just a natural thing and it depends on what side you are looking at--the top or the bottom. This is my best once again Ric. Marble--On!!
Ric
@akroorka I understand rotation and directionality. It's the application of those ideas to sort machine-marbles from different companies that I struggle with.
akroorka
Early on in my vast career of jobs vs layoffs, I made rivets--for about ten years give or take along with the layoffs. The metal that was used was cut-off in one direction which left a mark that we all had to try to hide--especially with aircraft rivets. It was a half moon kinda thing--same with glass--no doubt in my mind. If it were cut opposite--the half moon would also be opposite. This is why I suggest a double cutoff right then left. Very hard to explain Ric.
