I posted this on a German Handmade site and they confirmed Bennington.  They affectionately called it a Crayola Clay!

It is not a Bennington imho.

You may not know this but Bennies were made in the USA as well, by German immigrants as many hand made USA Antique clay marbles were (as well as galss).

Hats off to your german friends for sure.

@akronmarbles may have to settle this one here--I hope that he shows up to either shut me down or share some facts.

I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more.

I just love this marble and it deserves some attention--maybe it is a contemporary-I would hope not.

The firing method has me stumped. It didn’t sit on the prongs like conventional Bennington's did. I think Akroorka is right. It’s not a Bennington. This is a good example. There’s more colored glaze(s) that cover the surface 🔥
