  1. Sorry I missed you Steve. I've worked hard all day cleaning up my computer room. The hard part is over. I cleaned out all the boxes of Weldon's marble show stuff. Found Akro ash trays and Peltier marbles and a couple of popeyes I'd forgotten he had in the sell it stuff. I also found the Chinese millefiore hand mades. Not nearly as pretty as Gerry Colman but cheap like $1.00 each. The desk top is clean, the shelves are neat, the floor is cleared and vacuumed, all the papers are filed away. Someone could actually stay in this room now. I treated myself to dinner and a margarita. Ate a Mexican shrimp cocktail, the kind with pico de gallo and avocado. Delicious! Had a margarita, well half of one and came home feeling up to any job tomorrow. Life is good!
  2. 3rd box of Sammy's Sparkle These marbles made history because so much was learned and it was later used in the investor runs.
  3. These boxes show 5 in a row of each kind I was sent and they are in no particular order.
  4. th The marbles in the following boxes were a gift from David McCullough and Dale Simmons. They arrived in Waller in separate baggies and I left them as they were given to me. Different base glasses were used as well as green aventurine, blue aventurine, and lutz. Some of it became oxblood. Dave and Dale sent me some of every kind of marble made in the Sammy's Sparkle runs - March 26 and 27. These were pre-investor runs and David, Sammy, and Dale learned a lot.
  5. That's neat! I wonder if there is still a VFW magazine? I'll have to ask my brother.
  6. Investors, please post an estimate here of how many were made. No estimate was made in the book by Steve Sturtz. Also I think a special wooden box was made for these and I don't have one to show. Please include a pic of the box in this post.
  7. The Joker's were the first to offer nice wooden collector boxes for their marbles. This one was a gift from Kevin Plummer.
  8. I added a little historical information in the first frame of this post. Thought you would want to know people involved and dates. As documented in 2008 JABO Classics: The Experimentals, there were only 150,000 of these marbles made.
  9. I know I don't have all of what you guys made. Please post some more.
  10. These marbles have an oxblood cobra in them.
  11. The oxblood is especially pretty in this marble
  12. I like the ones with the white glass. It makes the oxblood look better.
  13. Joker investors, please post more pics and tell some about your run. Lots of people want to know.
