  1. slower today, guess us old folks cant stay up till midnight w/out taking long naps the next day. Tonight is much slower, not a lot going on. I picked up a jobber box of peltier peewees, a couple other cheapo boxes walked into my room. Plenty of Akro here, nice handmades are sought after, most common stuff not moving. A couple faces missing, Bill Bass, Art Jones, Tom Reed, Tom Harrod, etc so I would say slower than expected. Griff Made it, bill Tite is causing peoples jaws to drop, Bill Tow is missing, still say marble shows are a great source to find stuff and this was the first show i opened my room, sold a lot of machine mades and a solitare board.
  2. people still up and about. tomorrow is going to be an interesting day. I hope smitty moves the show closer to columbus, Canton has a lot to offer but its a haul.
  3. 11:50pm almost midnight and craig snyders room is packed. brian estepp and many others buying up misc. I picked up a solitare set from craig. Clyde is running around chasing peltiers. Steve smith is carrying a pistol case with a massive blue slag. Bill Tite roaming the halls looking for that onionskin. Common handmades are not moving, machine mades doing great. I sold 500.00 worth in the first 4 hours.
  4. things are heating up in canton. lots of marbles.... more to come and pictures.
  5. all packed, ready to go , now just have to drink some coffee and load the car. I'm taking my camera so I will upload pics from the room trading tonight.
  6. Clyde landed yesterday, how's canton looking? I will be there Thursday around 2pm.
  7. most of the ones you see Alan selling are being sold over and over again, just marbles changing hands. We need to get someone like Bill Tow to come over and tell us the story, he might know it since he owned many nice chrissies. I find it hard to believe they were dug or rejected from the plant. A run of such nice marbles would have been sold or saved. These all started surfacing around the time that young couple was selling tons of halves and cutlet at the columbus show. There was no exotic looking stuff in their score. Les got a few hundred stripped opaques that same summer, Clyde got to pick out some of the nicest ones. these came from one find in a jar. I also find it hard to believe someone created these in a garage and did a one time sell. They got good money for them, why not dip back into the cookie jar and make more. We all know that would have happened, so maybe these were really discovered someplace and are genuine old.
