Well, admitting you have a problem is the first step . . . I did that about twenty years ago and I worked on step two for so long I don't even remember what it is. And honestly, I don't really care. lol

Nice thing about the marble board . . . cheating is allowed, in fact, it's almost expected! 🙂

I wonder if those are newer - you usually don't find such distinct 4-color ones that are older, unless they're hybrids or blended, and if I recall correctly, I have seen some similar foreign marbles. And now it's time for a quiz . . . what do you call that one with purple and red ribbons in the group of three (background of the last two pics)?

Just be careful, Melissa, the marble bug can bite pretty hard and it's nearly impossible to recover completely from the affliction. I don't usually tell people how many marbles I have - it's embarrassing!

Great mibs - nice purple colors, and I really like the blue popping out in the last one - very nice!

AV on Akros isn't real common but there are quite a few out there - especially patches. I think about the only other company yours might be would be Peltier, which is why I really need to see both seams and the shape of the patch clearly to make a more definitive call.

One of the challenges with sorting Champions is that there just aren't a lot of good original bags from the early "mesh bag" years for sure examples, and a lot of those marbles are pretty nondescript transparent swirls. When it comes to their later wire-pulls and NOFs, it gets a little easier. But there are no doubt a lot of Champions out there since they cranked them out for about 50 years - my bet is only Alley made more WV Swirls than Champ did.

I'm with pretty firmly Master now.

It's definitely a mixture. And your photos are nice and clear but some of the backgrounds you're using are distracting and not ideal for ID photos. A solid neutral-colored background works best (like a gray t-shirt or similar kind of material).

I think the first is a big Vitro Patch. The second may be Master, but it's giving me a little foreign vibe too.

There are some Imperial types that can look very similar but the glass quality here has me thinking Master too.

The first looks mostly Akro to me and it does show AV but I would want to see a good straight-on view of the other cutoff before I commit entirely. The red/white one looks like some kind of ornamental object - things like this were, and still are, made by many different glass houses.

I agree with Chuck on all and I think the first may just be an oddball Alley.

Dang Art, that's a nice one! To me, it seems a little too nice for a Champion transparent swirl - even an old one, so I think there is a good chance for Ravenswood or maybe Alley. I've seen similar marbles from both companies. This is an Alley - a big one . . .
