  1. Here's a good place to start . . . https://marbleconnection.com/search/?&q=guinea&page=1&quick=1&nodes=20&search_and_or=or&search_in=titles&sortby=relevancy
  2. For starters, Guineas have at least one seam.
  3. I agree with Melissa on the first one, the second is an Alley, not sure about the third one though.
  4. I have not seen any such list compiled. I have seen sales brochures and paperwork that lists the sizes of marbles a particular manufacturer had available at the time it was printed though. They usually reference the standard numbering system for marble sizes that most American manufacturers used.
  5. Wow, TJ, so the OP is an Akro. I have never seen another like it, and I sure am looking forward to seeing the one you plan to post!
  6. I'll stick with my original thoughts on those.
  7. Thanks Chad, I appreciate the education. It is as I expected - maybe I'm finally starting to figure the old Germans out. 🙂
  8. Cool, your yard/lot must have been a pretty popular play place!
  9. @supramisfit Nice marbles - "Sahuaro" is really neat!
  10. You are really close with the MK "Boy Scouts", most folks call them Cub Scouts, since blue and yellow are the dominant colors of their uniforms, and the bit of orange on the one is not too unusual. Making making machine made marbles is not exactly a precision process and having a bit of extra color is not uncommon, especially with MK. The black/yellow/white ones look modern and foreign to me, maybe Mexican or Asian. I can't really see much of the green/yellow/black one - it might help if we could see the ends of the ribbons.
  11. Another beautiful set, David. I'd love to see a couple of close-ups of the pinched pontil on these.
  12. That's a pretty one, Chad! Would those be considered "English" colors?
  13. A lot of "pocket wear" but I have a hard time ignoring a good black on this type . . .
  14. I'll stick with JABO for all but #3 then and go with Alley on that one.
  15. I don't think so, Joe. I haven't seen any than can be positively attributed to Sistersville and I don't think any were found at the Pennsboro site either.
  16. JABO Megan's Memorial Run, 06/05/2011.
  17. Looks like there might be a whip-tail in the last photo.
  18. I am leaning slightly Ravenswood over Alley on the first one. The second looks like it might be an American Agate, and I think the third is Alley.

I think Cairo is a good possibility.

Maybe an Alley from St. Mary's.
  21. It's giving me a foreign vibe, maybe Imperial.
