  1. I'd guess Akro on the blue one, not sure about the other.
  2. I don't think it's Ravenswood.
  3. Yup, Popeyes have clear transparent, wispy white, and usually two colors - like the first one.

    Kokomo?

    I agree with Chuck.
  5. And thank you all for the well-wishes. I'll have plenty around here to keep me busy - plan to travel a bit too. And in a couple of years, I hope to be living on a Blue RIbbon Trout Stream in Michigan. Thanks, Chad - I decided to get while the gettin's good! I am about five days away from being officially retired, Bruce, and I think I'm already used to it! I'll have plenty to keep me busy around here for a few years, Chuck, and you know I'll be seeing you in Decatur. In about a year, I am going to start paring down my collection - shooting for a top 2,000 or so, because in a couple of years, I hope to be living on a Blue Ribbon Trout Stream in Michigan, and I don't want to move too many marbles!
  6. Wow, Joep. This is too cool, it's a very kind and generous gift. I love it! And I have just the spot for it!

    Snow Blue

Hey Joep, You should check out this thread:

    Same Set?

I would say all but the black one are game marbles. For the most part, they're pretty hard to ID, since most companies made them, but their structure often shows traits similar to the other marbles the manufacturer made.

    Snow Blue

The Master Marbles I have seen that look like the first one usually have two visible seams.
  10. You've got me wondering a little about JABO on the middle one . . . I hope @wvrons weighs in on that one - it'd be one of the better JABOs IMO.
  11. The smaller ones are even harder to find.
  12. Yes, and I'm betting they're all big - that middle one is very nice!
  13. If (a very big if) American, I would guess Vitro on the first and JABO on the second but ?? The third is entirely unfamiliar to me - I doubt it's American made.

    Mellow Yellow

I would guess Asian, maybe Vacor, for these.
  15. Ric

    White Opaque

Yeah, there is not much to go on with these.

    Snow Blue

Do you see any distinct seams on the first one? The other two don't look familiar to me, but the last one is nice.
  17. Alley or CAC would be my guess, with a lean toward CAC.

    ID Help Please

Thanks a lot, Ron - I was hoping you'd chime in. It's one of the best Cairo snakes I have seen - back on the shelf it goes!

    ID Help Please

That movie creeped me out! So now. . . that marble is in a locked box, inside of a safe, in a barn, about a mile away. Thanks, Brad.
  20. I posted this one a few years ago with no luck, or even suggestions, as to what the ID might be. I am thinking it might be Cairo but I would love to hear some other ideas - it's one of my favorites. It's snake-like, nice head, nice tail and a coil and a half - a good UV glow too. In the sun: Any thoughts?
  21. Hello Carl, welcome to The Marble Connection. That looks to be a West Virginia Swirl. Several companies made similar and they are pretty hard to ID definitively.

    Pelt?2

What do you see in marble #2 (second marble first two pics) that makes you think Peltier?
  23. I have been dying to get out - hoping to find a few bigger ones up in Michigan next week.
