  1. I don't know, Steph. I have seen some odd Kokomos and there is a bit of a flip-flop on the white part of the marble, and the little 'slit' in the black color so . . . ?

    Akro Ades

I think they would qualify as Ades (if they glow). But one person's orange is another's red so I think you might get differing opinions about orange or cherry. From what i can see, I might go cherry on Hack's and Orange on Winnie's but then, what do I know.

    1945

It is a great article (cool cover on that issue too).

I think the best Carnelians have both brown and orange-red. And unless it glows, I wouldn't call any marble an Ade.
  5. Pretty blue but not a clue.
  6. Sharp's Shooter. The odd thing about this one is that the marble you hit with the launcher is inside that metal 'cage' and it hits the marble in the lane above the cage, which actually gets launched - please don't ask me why. lol Well, I read the patent (1932; #1,890,850). Then I tried it and it worked: If you put several marbles in the lane and one marble in the 'cage', only one marble will be ejected from the lane when you shoot. If you put two marbles in the 'cage', two marbles will be ejected from the lane when you shoot - pretty ingenious, really.

On the left is what some people might call a Lemon Lime Ade - I'd call it a Moss Agate. Here is what some might call a Blueberry Ade - I'd call it a Moss Agate too.
  8. Heroes and Uniques were more like multicolor stiated patches, right? Weren't they the collector's "bird" series . . . Grebe, Peackock, etc?

I know of Orange Ades but I think they are just glowing Moss Agates - like Blueberry Ades. Edit: or maybe Carnelians.

    Jorkscrew?

Hadn't thought of the Vacor possibilities. It's way more oxblood-red-colored than the orange on Dragonflies, though.

    Local Language

You nailed the Pennsylvania dialect. My wife is from Pittsburg and is constantly telling me the garage needs cleaned and my shirt needs ironed. And my marbles need picked up too! Of course, after 38 years, I love her anyway. lol

    Akro?

It almost looks more like an "impurity" than intentional color.

    Un-Cork?

    A wandering corkscrew?
  14. I think it might be an Ace. If it were an Ade it would glow like crazy.
  15. Cool light and darkness projected on intersecting planes . . . nature in a geometric form.
  16. No idea really, but look at the orange peel in that second pic . . .

    Akro?

Maybe an odd Moonie - look at the fire on the white that it's sitting on.
  18. Maybe a Moss Agate or Blueberry Ade variant. Does it glow under UV?
  19. The beige and blue is a pretty one . . . I would guess a Heaton Robin's Egg variant.

    A Swirl

Cairo is not a bad guess. it'd be a nice one.
  21. It's a pretty marble - a couple of more views might help. It looks like it might be something other than a Popeye to me but . . .?
  22. Parturition gone bad . . . like the baby lands on the floor?
