  1. Some early ones definitely came close: I think these were from a 2009 wash out.
  2. I wouldn't say the marble on the left is a game marble - some kind of WV Swirl, but I'd need another view or two to attempt an ID. The one on the right looks more like a game marble to me. One interesting thing you'll find if you study game marbles enough is that even though they are one color, they still often have the traits that are typical for the company that made them. In other words, seams (or lack of them) and patterns are usually similar to the company's other marbles.
  3. @Fire1981 started a great thread here. Let's keep it going. Here's one from Greg Pessman . . .
  4. I agree with both of the above.
  5. You're right, I can see it's tough to photograph - my first impression is JABO.
  6. I agree with MK - the newer variety (after the older patch and ribbon style)
  7. I'm thinking Marble King.
  8. That's a nice variety of Peewees. What size is the smallest one?
  9. I don't think a "second seam", as you are calling it, means the marble is a double ingot - more likely a "fold" in this case.
  10. I'm no English major but I'm pretty sure it's Cat's Eye or Cat's Eyes and Peewee or Peewees. And it's a darn good thing that we don't have grammar and spelling police here! lol
  11. A good idea - now that we have completely hijacked Yasuda Collector's thread. 😜 But do a quick search first because I know several topics have been started in the past, and it's always nice to build on what we already have. It gives us a chance to bring what are often very good posts back to the surface for newer collectors - assuming there aren't too many broken photo links or other unpleasantness. As for your big art glass marbles, I like them! But I didn't think Marlow Peterson made glass marbles, which is why I asked for a first name and thought they might be polymer.
  12. @Fire1981 They're both really cool. Are they polymer?
  13. That's a really nice piece, Rick. What is the artist's first name?
  14. Nice, Tommy. I don't think I've ever put a UV light on mine - now, where is that thing?
  15. No kidding - yikes!
  16. Yup, I botched it.
  17. When my father passed away quite a few years ago, I found a few marbles he had stashed away in a trunk with some other childhood stuff. Among them were two of the much more typical blue on orange corkscrews and two patches to match - must have been some of his favorites.
  18. Oh boy - what fun. Lot's of good looking multi-colors in that bunch!
