Rich, I love your enthusiasm & always enjoy seeing your creations. Contemps are not my thing but there is room for all. Perhaps some vintage collectors were put off when you torched CAC cullet. I do not believe your intent was to deceive anyone. Any "seasoned" collector could tell the difference if needed. You are not the first to experiment in this matter & probably won't be the last. All artists have both fans & critics. I say Post & Marble On!!

You may want to do this... Just go to the pre-1970 Marble section, type "-southern" in the search box, It then shows all the other auctions without his. Instantly less aggravation!!!

I liked the pelts, The price scared me a little.

I see why the Alley call from many. I just see more of a German wire pull action going on. Also the weird base color. Just an opinion.

2nd group have what are called "Cold Rolls". The marble cooled to fast when being made. It is a manufacturing defect.

You did the right thing by accurately describing the condition of the marble. The other seller is embellishing his listing. His photos can not deceive. Most buyers can see it is not a Mint marble. I would rather be honest & up front. ... Just my 2 cents worth.
