I don't know anything about this style of marble or have a clue what this one is. If you're going to add something to red and green, gold is definitely the way to go! Normally I'd expect Felicia to go "Oooh!" over a marble like this. But she's definitely a 'lady' and I can understand how she might hesitate to send a message along the lines of "What a Beautiful Buttcrack!" Cheers, Bob

For some reason I never cared for these marbles until I saw the recent pictures of boxes. I think they need each other, although the boxes are pretty appealing in their own right. But definitely a "Pelts + Box" is greater than the sum of the parts situation. "There are so many. Original, reproduction, and then I think some other modern ones which aren't modelled after old boxes?" Would this be the case with actual marbles, as well? Seems likely. Also, I'm thinking I heard that the originals were one-color patches, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks, Bob

When I posted this shot of my one and only cullet, I mentioned that one of its great attributes was that the buttcrack made for a terrific marble stand. I recently ordered a set of four different-colored marbles specifically because I remembered you teaching me that the Pepsi was only one of a group, and that some of the other colors were nice too.
