The box is completely devoid of anything. It looks like is was once bright green but seems to have faded to light mint green.

Tomorrow, I p lan on posting better pix of the new ones I made today. I hope you like them.

I am so happy to show you these! The box was unopened for 60 years according to the good friend of mine and I trust he told me the truth. The box is faded and light green in color. Each of these little gems seems to have been handed painted and on a few, you can see where some of the 'ink?' has splotched in the painting process. A few are helix but the majority are single, slightly overlapping lines.

After over 2 hours behind the torch, here is the result. Prior to repairing it, it was so encrusted with white scum, dents, chips and cracks, you couldn't actually tell it had 3 layers of colored glass! Like the result? It's about 2 1/4" in diameter.

Yes, in the damnitman link - those are close but not cateyes - more like spiders...lol In the link football, not cats - those are banana cateye marbles. I'd love to find where the cateye marbles like I found actually came from!

I does look like a test tube rack...lol The glass cigar tubes were given to me by a cigar smoker and are large enough to hold some of my marbles.
