  1. All modern contemporary except for the Brown Bennie, and I'd not swear to that one either.
  2. Does anyone have any of the Running Rabbit Auction catalogs they might want to sell? I can't find any on the net anymore and I'd like to have at least one if I could find it...
  3. Jabo, I believe...Is that aventurine of just dust?
  4. I dunno, looks a bit similar...9/16ths CAC Striped Transparent
  5. Nice looking lot! Interesting mib on the upper left there, Rylee likes it too. Looks like oxblood to me, is that an Akro 'Ace' with Oxblood we're seeing there?
  6. Just a word to the wise, be wary of trading with gremlin*** he/she (they?) are very difficult to deal with. I never named them before but since seeing this thread I feel the need to tell everyone about it. I had a terrible time with them last year concerning the sale of a lot of same run Popeyes, They hawked the auction in the last 5 seconds, then gave me grief about some of the Popeyes not being fully corked; they insisted the mibs were patches. They demanded that I take back part of the sale and give a partial refund, I refused and instead insisted for a return of the entire lot for a full refund. When I filed a 'cancel transaction with Ebay to avoid the selling fees and do a refund, they refused the Ebay form and instead opted to keep the lot. I have since blocked this Ebayer from bidding on any of my sales. Deal with this one at your own risk. For reference:
  7. Hey Sue, everyone, I've dropped the reserve down to 450.00 for an easier sale! Remember, this is for Alan, not profit. Thanks to everyone!
  8. here are a few you may want, I sent you a PM... Each of these 3 mibs came from Alan Basinet over the years.
  9. I don't know who made it but it's definitely not an MFC.
  10. Happy Holidays to all! Now if I could figure out what to get my wife
  11. Me 3 I guess it must be catching. Oh well...Perhaps tomorrow.
  12. Great looking stuff man! Spread some of that luck around
  13. So how about roller marks, creases or foreign material in the matrix? I've got a couple Guineas and Slags that have foreign matter in the marble matrix, but it's small and some even under the surface. Beauty is, after all, in the eye of the beholder. If you were buying a mib with this condition, wouldn't you just consider it as adding character?
  14. And now for the rest of the story... I thought the problem had been solved. The buyer wasn't happy with their purchase, right? So I send email to the buyer to return the entire shipment for a full refund and confirm my address and shipping instructions. Then I filed a cancel transaction so Ebay would waive the final selling price percentage fee. So Ebay sends the buyer an email to confirm the cancellation and the buyer responds that he's decided to keep the shipment and will decline a refund. Go Figure
  15. I loaded a new pic last week, and everything was fine, but I came on 2 days ago to check the forum and my avatar was gone? I tried to upload another (totally different) pic and I keep getting a 'fail to upload' message...I'm using pics above 200 pixels for quality's sake, but the problem persists. I'm using a standard .jpg format so I'm wondering if something's wrong with my connection or perhaps my browser has the gimp. Has something changed with the server? Thanks for the help.
  16. Actually, those are 2 separate Mibs, sorry, but I'm still getting used to the pic post limits...I shrunk down a few more just for this thread. 2 more of same mib as left on first post

  19. Thanks everyone for your opinions! I emailed the buyer to sent the lot back. Actually it was the first thought in my mind when I woke up this morning. The way I see it, this buyer had a chance to own a piece of history, not just 65 Popeyes from the same run. I'm pretty sure there's several who won't mind having this lot regardless of whether some are not fully corked. Big John is absolutely correct, there ARE many in the lot that some will consider as hybrid. Easy come, easy go I guess.
  20. So what's the going rate for 3/4" + 'Golden Rebels' these days? I know they're rare, but I believe the larger ones go for a premium...Especially Mint (mint-) and loaded with aventurine. Would you have a reserve? What would be a good starting bid? What are they worth? Thanks for sharing:)
