I haven't watched the videos yet. Just bumping the thread to mention that I have the book entitled A Stone's Throw: The History of Marbles in the Upper Cumblerland Region of Tennessee and Kentucky, by Darren Shell.
I'm so bad, I got it years ago yet I haven't even removed the cellophane wrapper.
So now I have it on top of my to-do stack to remind me to watch the videos and read the book. -

Nice, it looks like a family photo rather than a professional job to me - lucky find IMO!
That's what I was thinking, but didn't know how to say it. Makes it that much more special.

The leather might in theory be too textured. The theory is that the camera needs to not think it's the background texture that it needs to focus on, so that it's more willing to focus on the marble.
But really, your enlarged views show very nice detail. Don't worry about me sitting over here being late to the show.-

What color background is preferred? Black or white?
A nonreflective minimally textured gray ...

After remembering to click and enlarge, and after seeing your Jabos in other threads this morning, I'm going with all Jabo here.

Arranging them in a 2 x 2 square or 3 x 2 rectangle, and using a less reflective background surface would both be good for getting more marble in better detail in the photos.
However, I jjust remembered to click on these and englarge and the detail is pretty good.
I think Akro on bottom. And because of the seams and general patch shape, Akro on top.
The middle three look more generic. Looking athe enlarge version, I'm leaning Vitro on those but wouldn't be surprised if the top two of the three turned out to be Marble King.

Pretty sure some Jabo in there.

Here is one of our nonmarble glass threads.

Either general chat forum or the lounge can work for non-marble glass. It's all good.

My neighbors are trying to get me interested in non-food gardening. It's a tough sell. But now I have a hosta and an elephant ear.
I just learned of the existence of a perennial sweetpea which can stand up to the Wisconsin climate. That piqued my fancy.

I think Marble King on the one with the purple.
Possibly Akro on the red and green.-

Alley never ever produced a patch type marble. They are Akro proved over and over. I have posted why they ended up at the Alley Sistersville site many times here and AAM. Again once something is printed in a book, it will never go away.

I used to have a wishlist, and it all got filled, but I can come up with something to play along.

Dear Santa,
I hope you are well. Please pet Rudolph for me.
I would like to have a green aventurine Japanese 4-vane cat's eye boulder.
Or a 4-color St. Marys boulder.xxoo,
Stephanie

I think the first is an Alley from one of the digs. 🔥
They were Alley for awhile. But then they went back to being Akro. Even though they were found in Alley digs.

I found it, I just had to do a repeat of one of my hair-brained searches on google. If I wrote them all down--well, no time for that🕛.
Maybe I should start a list😁.

The one that @Nantucketdink posted in the above link are the ones that I am talking about. "Aquarius Run Patches".
I have never seen any for sale.
Marble--On!!
Good find.
I've moved the thread to the Archives. -
Jabo Scalawags?

Definitely on the right track. I'm seeing some Vitro Blackies though mixed in with the All Reds.
The ones with the black around the center, but matching color patches on either end. For example: Two blue patches. Two green patches. Two yellow patches. Two white patches.
Also, if it looks like an All Red, with the white center but two different colored patches and neither patch is red -- that would probably be a Tiger Eye. I thought I saw one of those but now I'm not finding it again.
Might be a couple of other patches out of place. In the top left corner of the All Red picture, about four marbles down from the top, and one over from the left, there's an interesting light green patch which I'm guessing might not be Vitro.-

I just opened a door onto a new area of collection I never thought much about before.
Hubby is going to be thrilled.

The glass looks modern to me.
Marble King seems a good candidate.
