  1. Those are legit bags of Heatons. Hang on to them.
  2. Many many marbles with these coppery blotches are Ravenswoods. I use this as an identification trait. Not a solid foolproof thing, but a trait. Alley and others can have it too. I think it's copper anti-seize product.
  3. It's an Alley. Not quite what I would call a Carnival though. Sometimes when a particular known color combo was made, there was a period of time before or after it when glass was just starting or ending and this could be one of those, or it could be another attempt at the same colors. The Carnival was made at Pennsboro. Many don't know that a similar marble was also made at St. Marys, and it probably just as rare, but not as bright and flashy. It also has translucence to the green and can have mottling. The marble on the right is JABO IMO.
  4. Something funky happened when this one was made. It didn't form in typical fashion. If the colors and all are true on my screen, I think this is CAC.
  5. What size is it? I think it's Alley or Ravenswood. In pic #3, if you could show the area right at 12:00 a little better it might help determine the maker.
  6. We just got confirmation that the book will not be ready for the show. Sorry, but we tried.
  7. Nice groups of St. Marys Alleys that probably stayed together since they were sold. Yellow base with blue swirl on it isn't too easy to find. Some other nice euro swirls and sparklers too.
  8. I agree, nice flame. The OP marbles to me are calligraphies but the term has evolved over the past 10-15 years. When they are packed that tight and not all stacked in the same direction, it's callig to me. Refer to these examples of real antique calligraphy to draw similarities. Calligraphy isn't just about the letters.

Re-read this again today and it hit me that you probably had the calipers on millimeters lol. I'll get there eventually.

16.2" is bigger than a basketball. But anyway, this is an Alley regardless of size.
  11. I don't know the size range of the Scalawags. I see some online in the 5/8" range, so one 16th more is possible IMO.
  12. Nice marbles! I'd put them with my calligraphies whether they are or not. Pennsboro Alley. I didn't dig there but I've dug dirt from there. Still have a few buckets from Pennsboro.
  13. Might want to compare that to JABO Scalawags.
  14. Champion on the yellow/orange now that I can see it better.
