Way too much. Those were going for 35 each not long ago. I've seen them hit 80+ lately and I wouldn't pay that but 225 seems way too high. Prices are nuts these days though.

Well when intensely studying buckets and buckets of marbles from the factory sites and original packaging for over a decade, it's possible to get a little better handle on the types. I can match these to marbles from St. Marys in many different packages. The pattern is not Ravenswood pattern. There were removed from an Alley package of marbles from the St. Marys factory. Despite what some people think, the maker and even factory location can in fact be determined for many marbles. St. Mary's Alleys with provenance:

These and similar can also be found in one inch and near it. Be aware. Examples in the WV swirl book page 139, 142, 146 although none are an exact match.

This is an Alley Opal Lady. A sought after marble by collectors.

Hello! That is a clearie marble. They were made by all the companies and by the billions. Pretty much impossible to tell the age and maker. Fun to find though!

Looks like a woody to me.

Early Alley from Sistersville. This color combo I only know of being made by Alley and CAC.

What is that, some AI answer?

These types aren't my strongest area of knowledge, but I don't know of Greiners being cane cut at all. Far as I know they were single gathers just like Leighton and Navarre, except the Greiners normally have some faceting. The cane cut ones I just know as German.

Red Ravens have a tan base, not white. I do think it's RW though.

Uneducated bidders IMO.

There is a guy selling marbles as chalkies on ebay. He's been coming up with loads of them. He says he's digging them up out west somewhere with a mixture of all sorts of makers and styles. Many have white glass sickness from some sort of corrosive condition either from the ground or from something they're being soaked in. He's been told they aren't chalkies but that doesn't stop him. It's all about the money.
