  1. same I kept hitting submit reply but it showed my reply and the submit button, so I hit it again thinking it didn't take, and then again. I backed out and behold, It posted over and over again lol.
  2. I dug steady for two days straight from daylight to dark. I bet I dug a half a million marbles out of that hole. Maybe more, shoveling them into many other diggers buckets. David Tamulevich had the hole started and dug it until he had enough and I took over. The hole was only big enough for one until it got so deep it caved in, then we got another person in there. I was happily tired, blew out my blue jeans, dirty, and hungry. Probably dehydrated too, I wouldn't stop to eat or drink much. That's time wasted when you're on marble factory dirt. Every now and then I'd get out of the hole and check on my dogs (I pulled my camper to the site because I had my dogs and nobody to take care of them while we were in WV) and I'd dump some buckets into the big box in the back of my truck you see in Ron's pics, get a bottled water, and get back to the hole. Someone else would dig it while I did that but by the time I got back they usually had enough and was ready for me to jump back in lol. I always said I don't like to operate a shovel but in that case I loved every minute of it.
  3. That's me in the hole digging out the Heatons... one of the best days of my life
  4. Nice grab, It's one. Should be somewhere around 7/8".
  5. The last group photo is almost all heatons. The group of 4 similar ones on the previous page also are.
  6. I'd have it with my pelt rainbos FWIW. Got twisted up.
  7. I agree, the MCS looking one is the heaton like we discussed before in the thread Neo linked to. Also several of the other swirls are Heatons.
  8. Lol Chad The size is also right for a DI, and you can see the crease between the two ingots.
  9. Akro double ingot on the blue one. You can see the spirals of both mashed together into one marble.
  10. A slag with minimal action.
  11. Lol I debated between Alley and Champ.
  12. Tough one. Could be a Champion.
  13. Marbles can glow different shades and colors without any indication of age. Old and new alike may glow.
  14. And I haven't criticized, but this conversation shows the confusion and negative impact that arbitrary names cause for new collectors. I didn't just fall off the marble truck either. You don't have to take my word for it since you don't know me, take a look on a google search for a "orange lady Alley marble" and see, the one single mention of one is the ebay listing we are discussing. It will also bring up the discussions about the Alley lady line where you can read what is included in that lineup and who named them.
  15. I know exactly who it is and he knows me. It's not a real Alley name. Sorry. What facts do you assume I'm missing?
  16. Oh, I see who has one on ebay... that's not the name. It's a made up name for ebay sales. It's an unnamed marble and not related to the lady family. The made up names on ebay confuse new collectors all the time.
  17. Have you seen one? I've never seen or heard of it. Orange ribbon on purple base or the other way around? The lady family marbles all have a lavender to pink ribbon on whatever base, so I assume it's supposed to be a lavender ribbon on an orange base?
