  1. All Masters. Master made Sunbursts, Comets, Cloudies, Meteors, etc... depending on the opacity of the base and patch.
  2. Alley for the first, second looks mostly Vitro but that red patch has a MK look to it...
  3. It used to be and still is common to put these grey base sooty bubble pelts with Kokomos but get your eyes and hands on enough Kokomos to study hard and you'll get an understanding of their construction and glass and see that they are usually not Kokos. They did make very similar marbles and learned how from Peltier and used their machine and glass. So seems impossible, right? But thankfully they are not the same. Just like how the red and white WV swirls all look the same, until you learn what to look for.
  4. Lol browncat, my inclination is you should go with "may have" or rapidly approaching that status LOL I'm actually working on a glass of Evan Williams small batch bourbon myself as we type. Just before hitting the sack for the night (early morning).

    Heaton

I'd say Heaton but not part of the oyster group. A real oyster has a tan-grey muscle with brown and purple along the area where the muscle attaches to the shell. That's how the Heaton oyster got it's name. These are oysters, shucked from their shells: And these are Heaton oyster marbles:
  6. That one linked to from the Peltier site is mine. It's the same as the Sant Claus, but in yellow. In fact, it was found in a lot with a Santa Claus that matched in size (21/32" ish) and glass and pattern, just the red instead of yellow.
  7. Agreed, the OP marble is a JABO classic from the 1990s.
  8. The old photobucket pic is one of mine from years ago. It's a MK peewee or close to peewee that I found some time ago. It does have a pelty look but it's not. Nice wolverines Chad! I agree the op marble is Pelt.
  9. Rubber ball that got old and hard.
  10. I agree it seems to be an Akro. Strange and special with that lavender.
  11. Yes on both. Nice drizzle.
  12. It's a rarer Alley, nice find!
  13. The real tricky part is that some of these exact marbles are attributed to Cairo, Jackson, Davis, AND Playwright. Even with dug examples from some of these locations matching and to compound matter, even dug cullet matching. I have theories on this but I'm still working on it. I saw the photos posted by the Playwright heir on facebook with the letter from playwright but they appear to be Jacksons FWIW.
  14. Batch glass is made from scratch with sand and other chemicals. Other is when cullet was used.
  15. Clear Clown, red/yellow rainbo, and clear clown again from what I see. Here is a Tequila Sunrise:
  16. Oh yeah, Playwright not Davis. I came close but got one major detail wrong.
  17. They're Jacksons. Pretty sure I know where this bag came from originally. A lady who's husband was Wilson Davis, founder of the Davis Marble company had a box of these in her basement years ago if I recall the story correctly (Ron?). The box was full of these mesh bags, new old stock, and Ron told her that people would love to buy them. He bought one, then took some to some shows and helped her sell some. She insisted that they were Davis marbles in them but they were all Jacksons. She even had an affidavit created and notarized that the contents were Davis marbles and included a copy with each sale because she didn't like people saying they were Jacksons, but they are Jacksons upon close inspection and comparison to known and dug Jackson examples. I bet, by the condition of this bag, that it came from that box. Nice bag! Many bags full like this got covered by concrete under the building standing on the location of the Jackson factory now. If only they knew what they would be worth.
