What's the local brewery Bob? My little town has England's oldest brewery - founded in 1698 and a couple of craft breweries that produce much better beer.

Al -probably wise to stop at two. Looking at what was produced collecting the lot could be expensive. As an aside I've noticed a lot of character marbles (not just Pokemon) on ebay's French and German sites - character marbles seems very popular on the continent.

Unless you've been living under a rock without any access to the media you've probably noticed interest in a fairly new smartphone game... I noticed one of the local 'collectables' shops was trying to shift old stock off the Pokemon marbles presumably on the basis of renewed interest and wondered whether anyone here collected contemporary printed marbles?

If we're going with yellow:

The trouble with Champion bags is that both Champion bought in and repackaged other companies marbles as well as later sellers - there's no real way of telling them apart. The only marble in this bag that I'm really positive is Champion made is the one swirl. I picked up a couple of bags from a dealer who claims they came from the Champion warehouse (the other bag is a mixture of clearies, game marbles, swirls and Bogard cats). I've no way of verifying they were packaged by Champion or not, but there's no modern Jabo's or anything that is obviously out of place.

The 70's Champion bags are a good source of Bogard: 1 Champion swirl, 4 Champion? patch/ribbon and 15 Bogard cats of varying types. I think Bogard were the main suppler of Cats Eyes to Champion for a few years.

I'm trying to get hold of a few dug Cairo (much harder to find) to if not nail the differences, at least have a better idea... I'm pretty sure Heaton were significantly more prolific.

I think they could be experimental Heaton - the dark edge to the yellow vanes is common enough with Heaton and I've not seen that blue/red combination on Vitro's...
