Haa, away from home. My wife called today. "Another box came from UPS today, what is it? More marbles?" Humm, "Open it!" I replied I hear the box being opened. Then she says. "It's a round, wooden board and a bag with real ugly marbles in it." I get a little defensive. "Those are not ugly! there beautiful, unpolished, very old, faceted stone marbles. Don't drop them!" She replies. "Geezzz, you don't have to get huffy!" Well don't call my marbles ugly, Okay? There way cool, I like them. Ya I guess I'm an addict. Lol

Wondering if anyone here is into trade beads? I got these for a good friend because I know she will like them no matter what they are. Can anyone tell me anything about them so I can pass it along when I hand them over?

I agree and I have seen some very nice boards. It must have been someone who was all alone who invented that game. Lol. It's a fun way to pass the time.

At home I have this, there very rough, you can see flat spots on them. The board is beautifulbirds eye maple.

Four that I have with me. The dark one has facets. It also has spot that I'm going to try Bob's Crisco trick on. I'll report back on that.

I grew up in New Mexico, moved north to Montana to cool off, than took a job on the north slope of Alaska. In the winter I can go in the walk-in freezer and warm up. Spring and fall in Montana is perfect for me. 60s.

It's hard not to imagine your friends sitting by the pool when I look out my window and all I can see is caribou.

It's all good you guys, I was lost on the net looking at amber and old trade beads. I was beginning to think you all had met up at some marble show or setting beside the pool somewhere.
