  1. I just borrowed this from a site that sales marbles. Said it is MFC. Im sure some workers were left handed. That could explain it.
  2. Great pictures Al O. Thank you so much!
  3. That's great Jerry, I'm so far away from civilization and the Internet here is very poor most of the time. Thank you so much!
  4. Question, looking at pictures of MFC slags on the net I notice that some have what I will call a inverted 9 or mirrored. What was going on here? Is it that they were gathered with a clockwise spin or counter clockwise?
  5. Thanks Jerry. Do you know how the came to be called submarines?
  6. That looks right Steph. Thanks
  7. Not sure if I should call this teal or aqua. It's 15/16" has white inside and out. A black line that's mostly on the surface. Deep cut line and what I want to call a pontil but????
  8. Beautiful! And very nice pictures Manokent.
  9. Well poopy, how about one of each in that order?
  10. If I may, I would like to see a couple pictures of submarines and to know how they got there name. Thanks in advance Bud
  11. Was just kidding Winnie. Some of the descriptions make me giggle. Hope your day is wonderful!
  12. Ran across this on the bay and just had to share it. Now I'm confused about the whole pontil thing.
  13. The article about hummingbirds and hawk moths is very interesting. Thanks Manokent. I woild love to see one. Another interesting thing is that when geese migrate from the lower 48 north, some all the way into the arctic. Hummingbirds migrate with them by hitching a ride on there backs. Lol, wonder if they have to go thru security before they let them on??
  14. Kbobam Sorry about that, I got off on the wrong subject. Anyway,, the life savers in question may contain uranium oxide. Eat at your own discretion and if you glow in the dark for more then four hours see a doctor. Hehe
  15. Haha, yes it's funny to me how the human body can get aclamated to different temperatures. In the winter here the sun never breakers the horizon. 60 below 0 with 60 MPH wind is common. I went to the store one day, it was -40 f. This Eskimo girl had walked two blocks to the store in flip flops. I really like these people and have been working here for eight years. This little girl calls me uncle. It's always nice to go home to Montana.
  16. Man, I wouldn't stand a chance of out running her. I was inside a tractor. And she was not hungry. They are beautiful animals.
  17. 4G cell phone service. Until a couple weeks ago it was hard to even get a call thru. The bears were about 30 yards away. They were picking the bones clean from a bowhead whale.
  18. I'm well inside the Arctic Circle right now and have 4G. How cool is that?
  19. Hay, if we say it's a very rare winter mint flavored red master marble then that's what is is! (:
  20. Yes, I like it here very much! Reminds me of a group I was in a few years ago when I was painting. It was a blast until this guy Bob joined. He never had a nice thing to say about the newbies art. It was never constructive criticism with him and only his work was worthy of being posted. I lost it one day when he told a young artist they should try something else. I offered to pay him a visit 400 miles away, I was more then fair and offered to drive all the way, i didnt even ask him to meet me half way. They gave me the boot. So I drove the 400 miles looked him up, knocked on his door and introduced myself then handed him a box with all my pastels in it and left. I wasn't very good anyway and treasure hunting for marbles is much more exciting. I am truly thankful for all the help and humor here. Bud
  21. Lol, did someone hit the pause button on this string? Please hit the play button and turn up the volume.
  22. Haha no there just setting on some winter mint life savers. Steph had asked about some of the other marbles that came in the same lot I had picked up on ebay. The red magic marble is the one on the top right. I've decided it can be a Master now. I have so much to learn about marbles but with what I've learned from (Bob's book) and all the help here, it has become obvious that a lot of people selling on ebay don't have a clue as to what there selling or the value. So just to make myself feel good,,, I have a magic red clearie Master marble thats worth a mint and that's that. You know Kbobam,, you got me thinking that it would be fun to make some wooden kalidescopes with magic marbles in them. What ya think?
  23. That sounds really good right now, little Debbie cosmic brownies and milk while gazing thru a wooden handmade kalidescope.
