  13. Thanks Steph. Your answer is as straight as the kro flies. As always.👍 It looks pretty uniform for all the companies except MFC wich may of had some larger varietys . I started getting confused as akro also numbered their box sets. Its also cool the marble companies came up with this numbering system. I suppose then MFC created it.
  14. Maybe im mistaken these dont represent measurements? What do they mean?
  15. They use identifications such No.00.N0.0,No.01 up to 6 i think. What do these represent in measurements? Also were they the only company using this ? Or was it standard?
  16. I was looking up carnival glass. The iridescent process for that is...maybe its the same process "Carnival glass gets its iridescent sheen from the application of metallic salts while the glass is still hot from the pressing. A final firing of the glass brings out the iridescent properties of the salts, giving carnival glass the distinct shine it is known for."... wixipedia
  17. What causes rust on marbles? Didnt think glass would rust. Is it the colouring?

  20. Oh yeh. The book is great. Imo Alley can have the most depth and intricacy of any marble maker. I consider many of them fine art....from pictures ive seen. And the story of Mr Alley is American Legend. I think this is my best.posted not too long ago and kindly diagnosed by wvron as Alley from the Pennsboro factory.
  21. Fantastic pictures. Alley Agates are incredible. Not a marble but my newest addition to my library.
