It is a nice purple too..A little beat up but i dont mind. It never ceases to amaze me how you can identify .Just by some pictures. It is impressive. Thanks as always.

Is it a pinch pontil transitional? Theres a very small crease i could see thats the only clue i could find

It definitley has the cork pattern. My wishful thinking that i may of had a cac for my display.still like it though Time to look into transitionals. Cheers

Hi. Yep i thought it was interesting too. I think it showcases the uniqueness and similarities of different companies. It was a challenging exercise. Its starting to get bit easier with the help from here

Right on. I like the name red raven. Alot of interesting history regarding Ravenswood in their short history. Now i need to start making a foreign display.

I just noticed on that very first picture from Alan. That the big 1 in the middle has small drawings on many of the panels. That is nice. It must of took the artist many hours.

Its pretty neat you can go and dig up marbles when you want. Must feel like indiana jones.

the website Steph left is great. Best 1 for Vacor ive seen. Im leaning towards Odin . It says yellow is on the marbles but from my experience you will find examples that are missing colours. That does add confusion not to mention they do resemble in some ways vintage marbles. Best thing ive done is not to be looking for exact examples but resemblance then you can start deducing . It becomes less of a frustrating experience and more of a learning experience . All that said. Im still new at all this, and probably not the best source for advice. Your marbles are very nice looking

Did any companies make marbles out of marble ? Would they still be considered marbles or mineral spheres?
