Thank you. Furnace brick would be a piece of the furnace that fell off and into the marble during the process?
-
At first thought it was paint spilled on it. Now wondering if it may be mica or maybe a flaw in the asian factory. Its not frit.its just below surface.Dark green translucent.17 mm. Thank you
-
Im stumped to a name. Maybe a modern?? But did read alot this week about marble king and berry pink. My zen moment was a realization i should be focusing on makers traits rather then individual names.

Pretty neat looking. Now i want 1
-
I got that big 1 for 35. It has some damage and been polished. For all i know it may be not be old. It looks like an old 3 panel to me but i always have a lingering doubt with repos and moderns. I wanted a big specimen but cant afford big prices so im happy to have it.
-
Thanks. Could it be a variation of a berry pink?
-
It comes in at 2.39. Has been polished. The other pics are nicer ones. I like the big ones for the grandness.

They are very beautiful . Its candy for the eyes. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks everyone. Here is 1 more photo that shows the patch on the surface. It appears to that the fillaments breached the surface there. The core looks like 5 to 7 colours made of many fillaments coming together to make quite a solid inner core

Hi again. Trying not to upload 200 requests at once. Its tempting with the knowledge base here. So 1 more . I always thought it may be a helmet?? Size is 1.03"
-
I think may be glass . It is semi translucent. Yes one big chip and some smaller damage. Size is .93". Hope this helps. I lost the sun for photo today.
-
Right on. I think they are the same marble with some colour added to the 1. Kind of neat green glass with inner strands from pole to pole.

I would like to see that -
My main interest is the beauty and identification of marbles regardless of origin or value . Appreciate and respect the long time knowledge base by people

Hi. Thought i would add 2 more. If yous dont mind. The first one has the 2 patches. The 2nd one i think is just a game marble but has some interesting depth. Thanks for help
-
I was thinking for a long time it was a mineral sphere. If any thoughts or identification would be appreciated. Thanks

I am looking at these and could never tell the difference on many of them even though i know they are not same. Very impressive knowledge. . Imo some of the foreigns deserve some credit for beauty even though they are copycats. It also makes me wonder how many misidentified marbles are being sold by mistake or on purpose.

Weird i just asked about them slippery serpents
-
Thank you kindly. These ones were throwing me off a bit they have a more intricate design than I've seen on most of the Serpent's. It's great being able to ask the pros for answers. Cheers
-
Not sure if they are supermans or vacor serpants. They have been in my not sure pile for few years now.thanks for help
-
Its old. I just think imo that they become glass sphere decoration rather then marbles at that size.
-
Just wondering what others think of them? I recentlyish aquired a 2.4" onionskin. Never seen such a large marble in person before. Its kind of cool just for the size and it pops in the display. But now i feel it just doesnt look like a marble. I dont want another.
-
Its really amazing how vintage some vacors look. If anyone ever wanted to put pics together side by side of modern look alikes and their vintage counterpart would be helpfull i think. I would try but probably end up putting moderns bedide moderns. I like the topic . Cheers for all input
