  1. Would I be correct in calling this a "brick" ? There's no Oxblood in it but it's much more opaque overall and a different shade of red thank my other slags ...
  2. I saw a creative thread on Facebook and wanted to start one here. Post you marble photos that have recognizable images or patterns on them . An obvious one would be a Turkey Swirl but the there are some that really garner your attention. I’ll start with my “Safety Pin” ...
  3. It's gorgeous Vance !
  4. I never stopped to think of it as a corkscrew , but yep the black is unbroken and it sure has an Akro color scheme / vibe. Thanks Steph !
  5. Hi all, I have this beautiful vintage , bold orange piece with a little red blending in , just under 5/8 " . Any is suggestions or discussion would be very appreciated , thanks !

  7. Hi all , I have this odd milkglass vintage marble , with a nice red bean bordered in black , theres a fold in the middle of the red area. Any ideas on who the maker could be ?
  8. Thankou for the valuable information shared in this thread ! I think I'll buy "American machine made marbles" and take it from there ,so much to learn and grateful that there are so many publications available .
  9. Great ! Thanks for the identification all !
  10. It's about 9/16" could this be what they call a "double ingot " marble . the colors are vivid and I'm very sure it's vintage. Thanks for any input !
  11. photo 4 is the last quarter turn , showing a third seam , the last photo is sort of a view from the north pole
  12. Hi all , can anyone help to narrow down an ID on this beauty ? here's the first three photos of the marble with quarter turns going clockwise showing two seams . At first the orange color appears brushed but its not.
  13. 👍 I’ll post photos of the others when I get them in my possession just for comparison. I’m glad to discover these , it’s a very interesting marble design .
  14. Those are so cool Steph thanks for sharing. Yours have a better definition in the stripe.. I’m thinking mine must be all Jabos, since they came from the same source. I have several others like the one you pointed out. They have lavender colored patches as well , without a stripe , on a translucent amber base .
  15. Show me your Helmuts ! These are my best, but I’ve seen better . I’m going to pick some good ones up next week.
  16. That’s a nice spread ! Did Akro make Popeye shooters ?
  17. Thankyou Steph ! It’s going on display at my house.
  18. These are amazing Linda ! I think orange is your color . Your wide swirling style is so couture and cool ! Do you sell your handmades ?
  19. Hi all , how would you categorize this guy ? I see a decent turkey head , but when you follow the swirl down to the tail it has a blunt end. Thanks for any input.
