  1. Good eye Craig ! That was one of the few oddballs in my entire lot. A real busted up marble with a translucent aqua blue base and a perfect corkscrew winding all around it. I’m not sure who the maker would be but it’s a good candidate for a rock tumbler treatment imo .
  2. Aha Vitro makes sense .OK thanks Steph !
  3. Ok thankyou for the Peltier Rainbow tip ! Yes the other two on the bottom are Corkscrews . maybe I'll make a separate thread for the purple , and odd blue...thankyou !
  4. Wow great stuff Steph ! Thanks for your help !
  5. It's also not in the same condition as the rest of the lot , It's got a few more miles on it lol
  6. It seems very dense , nothing whispy about this marble . the most noticeable fieldmark on it is : the edge where the black meets the white is extremely defined , real sharp border between the colors . Also , one pole has a pretty distinct "V" the other pole has a v as well but a little more like a "U"
  7. Hi all , Can anyone help ID this guy ? I got him at the flea market two weeks ago and I'm stumped. it's a standard marble size.... Thanks for any help !
  8. Hi all ! Iv'e separated the blues out from today's lot that I bought . Some of the marbles have a milky blue base color . Can anyone help to ID them ? Thankyou !
  9. The three at the bottom of the photo have an uninterrupted corkscrew line.
  10. Hi all ! Iv'e separated some marbles out by color from today's lot . These are the reds, and are generally the same condition and swirly style. Can anyone help to ID them ? Thankyou !
  11. for the black and white patch : there's no Aventine to it . I bought the whole lot for $50.00 , maybe a little steep, but I had to have those Popeyes !
  12. OK thanks for the ID help ! I don't have a black-light but yes the black and white marble is a little different from the others , the white color on it is slightly different ,and there's more wear to that marble. I don't have a black-light so I will have to pick one up... thanks !
  13. Hi all ! I got a lot of 230 marbles today.About 60 of them were filler pieces, but the rest were nice . I think the price was reasonable but I'm not sure if we are allowed to discuss price here. Most all the marbles are in excellent condition . Could you confirm that the first group I separated out are Akro Agate popeyes ? Would some from the next group be Akro Agate patches ? Thanks for any help, more to come...
  14. No, not yet ..it’s at an estate coming up , I’d like to see it in person first. I’m very interested though and hopefully I will get it . I am going to another one tomorrow and hope to come up with a good haul ! It looks promising and will post on the boards here’s If I get something. Fingers crossed xx
  15. Thanks Bumbebee , I had a few of those when I was a kid , I remember I had one that was orange/black/red . I must collect a few, they strike a chord in me !
  16. Thanks for posting ! That would look great if you had the clear models. What are some of the black-banded marbles called in the bottom half of your right tray ? They are so cool !
  17. Thanks Steph ! Lots of eye candy in there . I think I see a glazed clay marble in the bottom left near the green swirl in the second pic .
  18. Hi all ! Someone is selling these about an hour away . I don't have many details yet, but I thought the photos were interesting and they look vintage , plenty of wear and tear . Some look like Peltier Slags ! Can anyone ID anything in this lot ?
  19. Thanks Steph ! That would be so cool !
  20. Thanks Steph for the tips ! Yes you might be right on the Pea ,it's close , but the black is a deep red , Go figure ! I'll post more pics of that one on the i.d. forum , it's nice and the borders are crisp.
