  1. This is a good place to file the Mega Marble "escorpio"
  2. Yes it's a Vacor Escorpio ! I can just barely see that oily orange-peel surface . Well done Steph ! I guess it was my own heart that got broken on this one ! Cool looking marble though , it almost makes me want to collect more ...hmmm
  3. She’s usually right ! The odds are in her favor 👍
  4. Thanks for the research ! I'm pretty sure it's a vintage handgathered mib, luckily it's been well preserved , absolutely mint . I'll try to take more accurate photos tomorrow . I trurned up the saturation on one photo and it's a little closer to the real marble , but not enough orange showing yet...
  5. You're right , it's not a double ingot ! It's the worst case of cold roll i've ever seen !
  6. OK , thanks Steph . I'm going to try to take better photos. I'm not showing the colors right here . The color is so loud, its deafening. That's why I was thinking CAC.
  7. This 5/8 “ Heartbreaker has screaming red/orange on black. The orange coloration isn’t picking up to well on camera. I think I’m looking at a CAC , and it looks like a double ingot. There’s quite a lot of drizzle towards the back . Any thoughts on this one ?
  8. Ive been looking through those Stngrays, it really matches up . There were some random Vacor marbles in the lot that I got this marble from at the flea market , so yep I've convinced myself that it's an odd Vacor Stingray . Steph has uncovered the mystery , thankyou Steph !
  9. Godown yes yours looks alot like mine . No markings on the “eye” where you pointed out in red . Just that cold crease line like Steph described towards the back of the marble . I’ll look through Jabo examples.
  10. No worries Dindo , glad to be learning here on this thread . Do yours have that crease pontil like I showed in my last photo ? This could point to a possible Japan import. according to the Americans Machine Made Marbles book. I’m hoping they don’t ! That looks like West Virginia icing to me 🙂
  11. Wow that is some thick icing on some of them !
  12. Ahhhh ! Thanks Steph for the reality check 🙂. It’s always a learning experience here for me . What a cool looking marble though, and it’s going to have a special place in the display case. I will file it under “Blue Alien”
  13. I would love to see photos of those brown ones , just for prospective and comparison. 👍
  14. Yep I have a couple of Alox translucent swirls that are very similar . There’s probably a handful of those WV companies that could easily pump out this marble ... I might be splitting hairs here .
  15. Oh man that's a sweet Pelt , I believe it's nickname is 7-up !
  16. Here’s a view of the pinch or crease , about 10’ o clock on the marble.
  17. This may be one of those marbles that is not going to be positively identifiable . She's 5/8 with a translucent aqua blue that reminds me of blue Jello gelatin. It has one thick , creamy white swirl that looks like iceing . I have heard that Cairo Novelty made marbles similar to this where the fieldmark being a 9-like swirl that covers 1/4 of the marble, and the rest of the marble is relatively void of swirling. There are no seams but it seems to have sort of a pinch pontil on it that I should upload a picture of. Any thoughts on this girl ?
  18. Thanks guys ! It’s my new favorite piece !
  19. Well it finally happened today, I found my first Oxblood hidden in an Atlas jar filled with contemporary Chinese marbles at an antique shop . I’ve heard stories like this before but I never thought it would happen to me. $12.00 ! Sold ! Someone pinch me !
  20. Thankyou Steph ! Once I actually see a "brick" in-person , it will clear up for me I believe. id-wise
