Would this Rainbo have any kind of nickname to it ? The base color is grey , with some red and white striping ,
  2. Hi all , I’m Stephen in New Jersey . I should have introduced myself months ago , just getting around to it now. Here”s me on stilts at work. I’m employed by Rutgers University Athletics. I’m very greatful for everyone’s help in explojring the fascinating hobby of marble collecting. So much fun and educational here !
  3. This set of Vitro have a brushed patch on a clear base with some opaque white filament swirling going on under the surface. Would the be considered Victories ?
  4. Thanks for sharing these , I'm really trying to get a grip on the Jackson make and model , but it's tricky . I like their swirl action .
  5. Yep I believe It's Vacor , after further inspection , I think I'm seeing that orange peel surface .Probably another " escorpio ". Thankypu WVron for your input !
  6. Ha ha haw Steph that is hilarious ! Thanks for the confirmation guys 👍
  7. Trying to show the seam on this photo
  8. Here's a flamboyant 5/8 " I recently bought online . It has a black base with a fairly bold red swirl, pretty busy pattern. Would I be looking at a CAC here ? Thanks for any responses !
  9. This is a good place to file the Mega Marble "escorpio"
  10. Yes it's a Vacor Escorpio ! I can just barely see that oily orange-peel surface . Well done Steph ! I guess it was my own heart that got broken on this one ! Cool looking marble though , it almost makes me want to collect more ...hmmm
  11. She’s usually right ! The odds are in her favor 👍
  12. Thanks for the research ! I'm pretty sure it's a vintage handgathered mib, luckily it's been well preserved , absolutely mint . I'll try to take more accurate photos tomorrow . I trurned up the saturation on one photo and it's a little closer to the real marble , but not enough orange showing yet...
  13. You're right , it's not a double ingot ! It's the worst case of cold roll i've ever seen !
  14. OK , thanks Steph . I'm going to try to take better photos. I'm not showing the colors right here . The color is so loud, its deafening. That's why I was thinking CAC.
  15. This 5/8 “ Heartbreaker has screaming red/orange on black. The orange coloration isn’t picking up to well on camera. I think I’m looking at a CAC , and it looks like a double ingot. There’s quite a lot of drizzle towards the back . Any thoughts on this one ?
  16. Ive been looking through those Stngrays, it really matches up . There were some random Vacor marbles in the lot that I got this marble from at the flea market , so yep I've convinced myself that it's an odd Vacor Stingray . Steph has uncovered the mystery , thankyou Steph !
  17. Godown yes yours looks alot like mine . No markings on the “eye” where you pointed out in red . Just that cold crease line like Steph described towards the back of the marble . I’ll look through Jabo examples.
  18. No worries Dindo , glad to be learning here on this thread . Do yours have that crease pontil like I showed in my last photo ? This could point to a possible Japan import. according to the Americans Machine Made Marbles book. I’m hoping they don’t ! That looks like West Virginia icing to me 🙂
  19. Wow that is some thick icing on some of them !
