  8. Not seeing Pelt Joe ?? Not sure, maybe Akro ??
  9. Just a recommendation but @ least a 5000k daylight bulb will do wonders @ least it did for me. Here's a link that may help out a bit w/ pictures, all cheap & easily acquired w/ some fantastic results. 10. You might give Matthew a try, I know he's polished some Germans for a few board members in the past, here's a link to his YouTube site and Email address. There is a vid on his site of some polishing he has done in the past. LINK :: https://www.youtube.com/@MarbleGems/videos Email :: [email protected]
  11. x2, Alley her also, do you have something blue sitting to the left of the marble ? Or a blue shade on the light being used ?
  12. x2, agree, 2nd one is better, I only use macro when I'm taking extremely close up pix like this and always under artificial light when I do so I can focus the light in the desired area w/o any glare. I think this was w/ only a 20w daylight bulb if I remember right ?? Lots of playin around w/ many different bulbs, and yes a 5000k daylight bulb or better is best.
  13. Red Bee is better than no Bee, nice mib ..
  14. #2 red and yellow looks like a Pelt ?? Any Aventurine in the red ribbons ?? If so a Ruby Bee, If not a Red Bee
  15. WVS, Alley, Champion, no real way of being absolutely sure IMO
  16. Yes, clear to 1" and maybe a hair over, the OP looks to be a Pelt Rainbo IMO
  17. The ones w/ true black, the solid cores, look for av w/ a loupe in the green ribbons, the same canes are very nice also. Best IMO are the solid cores w/ black, next would be the latt same cane w/ the black ribbon. Ah, I like em all man !! This is my #1 pick;
  18. I know it reminds me kind of a Peltier Feather slag also but a feather slag has a transparent base, same as all slags no matter the manufacturer, in this case it would've been transparent blue, still an excellent marble.
  19. My camera does the same thing on wide angle Makes the mibs on the ends look like eggs, I've tried to correct it but eventually gave up
  20. Mmm yeah, I'm really likin that Alley , moibs I don't think are out of round, it's the way the pix are being taken evidently ?
