  2. Chad G.

    Rookie here

"Welcome to Marble Connection Beth" Nice bunch of mibs you have there, glad to have ya here on the boards. Yes, the I.D. marks (initials) for those should be @ or near the poles if they have any. As Ann said @Alan would probably be your best bet on finding out the maker. Many years of combined marble and marble related knowledge here. If you have a specific query you'd like to pursue there is a search bar in the upper right hand corner. Stephs Study Hall https://marbleconnection.com/forum/20-stephs-study-hall/ is a great p[lace, our pictorial and commentary archives. Have fun whatever you do. Wish I could help ya out on the contemp. I.D.'s but my knowledge of those is very limited. Chad G.
  3. All Vitro IMO Dave, I think you're right on the money
  4. I like the Akro blue eggyolk ace & the Pelt best Killer for a thrift store find !!
  5. For years I've had my eyes on certain marbles. Either out of my price range, seemingly unattainable or so beat up that their not even worth having. Just gonna post part of my "Dream World" of marbles, 4 machine made and 4 hand made. Never owned any of these and may never get the chance but I can still dream. "Please post mibs from your hit list if ya got one " First the handmades Pink Banded Lutz Antique German Hand Made Bat Sulphide Antique German Handmade Blue Glass Bear Sulphide Antique German Lobed Onionskin Machine Mades Peltier Greycoat Peltier NLR Green Lantern Peltier Green Goblin Peltier Blue Galaxy Enough Dreamin for me for tonight Brothers & Sisters, time to hit it .. 7. All killer Vitro's, I don't have any Windex anymore, nice to see ya have @ least one, I don't know how many times I've posted certain pix ?? I know I've posted everything I have @ least once, & I'm sure I'll have more repeats in the future. "Memory" a mind is a terrible thing to waste ....
  8. My friend Mick and I were down Steelhead fishing on the Columbia river about 15 years ago and he took this shot of me standing by the river w/ a double bow in the background. I've seen a lot of them but this is the only one captured on film, sorry for the resolution but I had to take pics of an old hardcopy to get these.

  12. Did you get another batch out on one of yer exploits ??
  13. I had trouble holding back my first post .... ....
  14. Alley, Alley, Pelt on the smaller ones & no idea on the boulder IMO
  15. Alley , no double ingot
  16. "Happy Akro Friday" not a Popeye, there is no transparent clear base glass or whispy white strands running through it. Instead a highly uv. Lemonade base w/ yellow strands going through it. Many want to call these Popeyes but they simply don't qualify, there is a specific name for this type but it fails me right now I gifted it to a good marble Brother of mine overseas. This was the cleanest of this type I owned, lashes yes but barely visible, an outstanding marble, not even a dimple , good sized @ between 11/16ths & 45/64ths. Here's a Popeye, transparent clear base w/ whispy white strands running through it and 2 corking opaque colors (non uv.) Sorry I couldn't remember the specific name of the OP pic, I'm having a brain f***. Seems like I'm having alot more of them these days. Maybe you can spot the problem ?? Here's an x-ray of my bean ...
  17. Thanks Ron !! I should have listed you right along w/ Josh, Oops !!
