  1. Went over and snapped a few pix of the orange flowers today. I'm over 6'1" and these are over my head. Unfortunately the rain already started doing a number on them.
  2. Well I got er done, some of these pix are gonna be off center, I think my cam has an AI mind of it's own, I had to stay in motion this time and ride to pic button to keep it from focusing on the mib !! Anyway w/o further adue here it is. First clue :: Made in USA.
  3. Great clue William a lucky guess on my part Now I gotta play battle bot w/ my Handycam again, later this afternoon, I have an appointment
  4. Thanks for the vid & the tunes Chad (Billy Corgan ?)
  5. Also seeing whackd on Vacor Twister for #2, not sure of the manufacture in #1 ??
  6. Modern here, Vacor = maybe ??
  7. Still diggin, but in the meantime I did find the pix that were taken by the person I bought it from, albeit the colors are a bit muted in his pix but the structure is clear.
  8. .... Wassuuuup !! Where'd everybody go George ?? Almost down to butter soaked dead heads here !!
  9. Found the "solid Av" post on AAM, the debate continues (I guess ??) This is a great discussion, turning out to be a good post ... ... Mmm ... buttery goodness !! https://www.allaboutmarbles.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=46576&p=340093&hilit=solid+av+Champion#p340093
  10. Agree 100% w/ you Chuck, the one Bob sold and the one I posted (though you can't see it in my crummy pix) both appear to be swirls. If I remember right I think you have or posted pix of a marble just like some time ago on AAM, I think the general consensus then was Champion swirl as well ?? Or was it Alley ?? Can't remember, gotta do some more diggin.
  11. Was Block wrong when he I.D. this solid av opaque as a Master ?? I agree w/ ya Ron, but I'm still a bit confused ?? Maybe this is an exception to the rule ?? I looked for Master traits (cutlines) in the pix and it looks to me more like a swirl, thus the Champion I.D. on the one I posted. 12. The USB cord that charges it has paid for itself many times over vs. buying out of this world batterie$, one of my accidental "good decisions"
  13. The OP is a transparent base Master brushed patch, Blocks marble is a solid opaque marble like the one I have. I agree, one of each should be sent to each of us for an extended analysis ... ... Don't get me wrong I'm still a bit confused on the opaque "Master - Champion" thing ?? It's a rare Mcally ...
  14. Another Killer board David, you're makin me drool Never even seen em before !!
  15. I know David likes Mica so here's the biggest and chunkiest amber mica I've ever had @ 31/32nds, from the 09 auction for this "Thüringen Thursday" Not even a flea on it only as made creases, looks like they were acquired while it was being twisted off the cane. Not single pontil, a melted pigtail on one end but still HTF in this condition.
  16. Here's Blocks auction link w/ picture, there has been lots of controversy around these solid opaque av mibs for years. Mine was originally I.D. as Champion ?? I really don't know what it is?? That's why I had it up for I.D. Chad's OP is Master IMO, the base glass is transparent, therefor a transparent patch i.e. " Master Brushed Patch, IMO" LINK :: https://bid.marbleauctions.com/lots/view/4-72E4WC/marbles-master-marble-company-opaque-aventurine-1116-mint-99
  17. That's an old pic, I've been diggin around and haven't come up w/ it yet !! Sistersville Alley was 2 out of three last time I posted it. I do remember the size was between 5/8ths and 11/16ths.
  18. A repost for this "West Virginia Wednesday" time to smore. One of my favorite Alley's, came in a jar of mibs from a garage sale, I never even seen it until I emptied the jar @ home, a very pleasant surprise.
  19. First day of rain tomorrow, things will be changin soon. Oop !! Almost forgot, I gotta stroll over and get a shot of those big orange flowers before the rain beats em to the ground.
