  1. Alley , no double ingot
  2. "Happy Akro Friday" not a Popeye, there is no transparent clear base glass or whispy white strands running through it. Instead a highly uv. Lemonade base w/ yellow strands going through it. Many want to call these Popeyes but they simply don't qualify, there is a specific name for this type but it fails me right now I gifted it to a good marble Brother of mine overseas. This was the cleanest of this type I owned, lashes yes but barely visible, an outstanding marble, not even a dimple , good sized @ between 11/16ths & 45/64ths. Here's a Popeye, transparent clear base w/ whispy white strands running through it and 2 corking opaque colors (non uv.) Sorry I couldn't remember the specific name of the OP pic, I'm having a brain f***. Seems like I'm having alot more of them these days. Maybe you can spot the problem ?? Here's an x-ray of my bean ...
  3. Thanks Ron !! I should have listed you right along w/ Josh, Oops !!
  4. "Welcome to Marble Connection Andi " Try PMing @Nantucketdink he's the local expert on anything Jabo, probably you're best bet as to the year and values, etc. You can try the search bar in the upper right hand corner or do a sweep of "Stephs study hall" ?? Wish I knew more about Jabo, someone will chime in soon enough to help ya out. Regards, Chad G.
  5. Some old sterling salt spoons and the nut dish I keep em in. Man that spoon w/ the amber inset is nice, I'll have to keep my eye out Brother. Another sterling nut dish, guess you are what you collect .... .....
  6. Here's a group of Pelt rainbos for comparison to #1 in the OP, the blue red and white ( & many shades thereof) are among some of the most common colors used on Rainbos. Along w/ the cut lines visible in the OP. Cutline running vertically Cutline running horizontally

  9. "Gutta Percha Marbles" Thought it was time to post something on these since most probably don't know about them and if they do they really don't know what they're made of. 18. Pix of a few different Pelt Zebras for this "Peltier Tuesday" Blue Av. Some would call this a Miller type (not me) x heavy av on this one, silver & blue And what is called a Bronze Zebra, thick coffee colored av. w/ a hint of blue and green in it. Plain Jane, blackish ribbons sprinkled w/ a moderate quantity of av. This one has the coffee colored ribbons w/ bronze, blue & silver av. but also a good helping of some chunky green. One of my better photographic exploits. In other words it took me a while &* many many retakes Green Zebra There is also a red zebra & one w/ black ribbons and absolutely no av.
  19. Thanks Ron, I think it was my Grandfather that had several frames he used old chains on. This one I purchased sometime ago but the initial idea came from Gramps, born in 1914 & living during & through the great depression he threw away nothing. I inherited his old house, the sheds were packed w/ old straightened out nails, screws, board parts, you name it, everything was recycled or reused. My father was the same way as am I, we live in such a disposable society now they manufacture stuff to only last a few years @ best i.e. " disposable junk"
