I guess they'll never stop trying to pass this fill medium off as marbles, let's hope nobody gets duped this time. The seller is also trying to pass off some of those clays painted w/ felt tip markers as "antique clay marbles". Notice the size is nearly the same, they both probably came from the same old fill medium pile. In fact looking over their site I see about 70 to 90% fakes, both clay & glass, I definitely wouldn't buy anything from them, I believe they know exactly what they're doing. I think he's just saying it was a "business" i.e. production oriented environment, "crank out" referring to the amount an individual could produce or "crank out" in a day.

I already posted these pix somewhere else, AAM for sure but I can't remember where else ?? Anyway this one was also was dug from the "French Drain" many like this one w/ the olive colored base were dug @ the site. Lucky to have such a nice w/ mint example. I backlit it so you can see the classic Akro seam structure. I had this marble for years until I believe it was @Alan that finally revealed the true I.D. to me. I had an idea it was Akro but could never find another like it. My guess is it was never mass produced because of the "not so attractive" drab olive green base color ??

6 of the seven in your orig. post were milkys, here are some of mine. White opaque w/ ox on the outside, though I do have some that ther ox takes a little dive into.

All the white color looks like it's on the outside to me ?? Maybe I'm just hallucinating today , that or a killer flashback ??
-
Not a cerise IMO

Thank you David, yes coats are #1 and skins are #2 , though your boards and most of the accompanying mibs are killer, most not even available here or it takes an extended amount of time and $$ to get your hands on them.
