  1. Gonna go Pelt on this one too, I see one of the infamous "blowholes" which makes me lean even more Pelt.
  2. Agree with figure eight's, not Pelt.
  3. I spaced out the gift I got from a great Marble Brother overseas, the globe is 2 & 9/16ths" so well within marble parameters, love it man.
  4. What a monstrosity Alan !! Is that a pancake ??
  5. I thought that pic from our "Family" album was a little off !!
  6. A recent link from Rick right here on MC & the link to the Peltier Marbles Info Site LINK : https://marbleconnection.com/topic/28191-pelt-blues-brothers/#comment-244858 LINK : https://www.peltiermarbles.info/unique-examples
  7. Nice pix Gladys, I wish we'd get just a little sun here !!
  8. "Great Idea Mibber" I forgot I even had one !! About the only chance at seeing a white Christmas around here anymore.
  9. Ok !! now I vote Peltier !! Thanks for shedding a bit of "new" light on the subject Joep !! Bringing mibs to work, now that's dedication to the hobby !!
  10. There are no pics of a greycoat on the Pelt I.D. site, I looked far and wide just for these few. Gladys's is certainly one that you could have a debate about ?? Either way a very nice marble Gladys.
  11. Not my marble "I wish" here's a pic of another one and a link on the subject from AAM. The grey ribbons also overlay the red in this example. I locked up the correct spelling g of grey and a or e are both correct. Here's the link & the other pic. 12. Well in most cases "the grey ribbons overlay the red" I see a bit of red on the outside of the greyish looking ribbons. I have a pic of a proven Greycoat. I see more blue than grey in yours, it could be my monitor ?? maybe you could relay your thoughts and how it looks to "you" in hand. Here's a pic of a greycoat to look at in the meantime, this one is from an old Ebay sale, size is 13/16ths. Yours is very close !! Just found the old Ebay sales listing for the Greycoat, it even has a good sized chunk out of it and still went for well over a grand. Glad I held onto a copy of this sale !!
  13. Good eye Dave, could you snap a few more views of this one Gladys ??
  14. Agree, Looks like a whacked out Popeye, it has the "clear base" "white whispy strands" and "two other colors"
  15. "Happy Peltier Tuesday" A couple different NLR Christmas Trees. First one is .77" and the second 5/8ths
  16. I'm leaning Veiligglas as well
  17. To bad you couldn't have "inner species bread" you could've had a "Piranhabull" .....
  18. "Thanx Chuck" I have never had or seen a Pelt. tomato (I don't think ??) "again a shared name" i.e. ( Vitro Tomato) Just going by what I've read and pictures for I.D. on some of these not so common mibs. I agree there are variants to almost every marble, that and everything in between. Exactly where to draw the line in some cases ?? When there have been "Billions" of marbles produced over time I would gander to say just about every color combo and variation the imagination can come up with has been made and then some. Opinions are very important and stimulate conversation as we move forward and new information is revealed so the hobby progresses. Something I enjoy very much, always new information, new things to learn, differing perspectives & discussion are a good thing.
