  2. Backlight them and look for a fiery glow like Arts, no glow no Moonie. The glass must be opalescent for it to qualify as a Moonie. Even under a low light the mibs should exhibit some opalescence if Moonies. Indirect sunlight (daylight) works very well as in Arts pic.
  3. They all look like flames except the last one IMO. The old definition was 3 then 4 now it's @ least 5 visible tips on one side.
  4. Not the best pix but a CAC Snotty for this "Sunday's Best"
  5. Original surface IMO if that's dirt trapped in the pontil folds I found it nearly if not impossible to remove from my handmades but if it's polishing compound as Art says water and a toothbrush will remove it with a little elbow grease, oh yeah "nice mib"
  6. Not saying this is the correct definition between Akro & Christensen but they are both good representations of two different types of Moonies, no matter the manufacturer all Moonies should have a translucent opalescent base, OP's appear to be iridescent ?? Wish I could tell ya the OP manufacture but not sure ??
  7. Both Vacor Bengal Tigers IMO LINK :: https://www.billes-en-tete.com/liste_billes.php?lang=en
  8. Handmades :: 2" , 18 lobed mint mica onionskin & #@ least one mint lightning strike Machinemades :: Wet mint 11/16ths Peltier blue galaxy dripping in av & a 12 or more tip 3-4 color wet mint Christensen flame etc....etc....etc......................
  9. "Hello John, Welcome to Marble Connection" Looking forward to your pix, comments and any questions you may have, enjoy your Marble Journey ......... Again "Welcome" Chad G.
  10. Having trouble seeing any av. I'm confused, the base on my monitor looks to be to be a transparent clear which it should be on a Blue Lagoon not green. ?? Av. can be hard to photograph, I can see air bubbles, where is the av. located ?? This is mine, clear based, soaked in av. heavier in the blue ribbons, no green anywhere.
  11. X2, Agree w/ Master
  12. Happy "Thüringen Thursday" this is a marble I sold last year in a large Antique lot. It has what appears to be threads, not a Latt core but a threaded gel core w/ somewhat of a tornado twist. These pix are also by the new owner, mine kinda sucked !!
  13. I think Jabo as well, I have yet to see a double ingot Vitro their quality control was very tight.
  14. You're right fire IMO, they can be slightly bigger but 99% are near the 7/8ths mark.
  15. Whoever it was did a good job faceting (making) the marble, I have a few like that where the person who made it was was so good @ what they did that if it weren't for the slight wobbling of the light reflecting off it you'd never know it was hand faceted : nice mib Joe
