Nice selections Art, some of my favorites, Led Zeppelin was a big influence and part of my teenage years. Way to many singers and songs for me to post, guess I'll just pick on you for a while @akroorka ... ... I can almost remember the name of the producer who helped Johnny but can't put my finger on his name right now ?? Ah, now I remember "RicK Rubin" same producer that helped him reproduce the original "Nine inch Nails" song "Hurt" A masterful job in both instances Exact same transfer of lyrics and in the same order in both cases. Funny how the interpretation & acceptance of music changes for people not by the lyrics but in the manner it's sung, I'm a big fan of getting all the lyrics right. Maybe not so much when I was younger .. .. understanding the lyrics didn't matter so much as the music sounding good, good to me anyway !! "Rusty Cage" sung by "Johnny Cash" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CrBqRb3VGM "Rusty Cage" as sung by "Soundgarden" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBZs_Py-1_0 ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Johnny Cash :: Hurt :: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AHCfZTRGiI original song by Nine Inch Nails :: Hurt:: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oGqIfnIAEA

DId you take a gander @ the simple setup he uses ?? Almost, if not all bought @ walmart (easy & inexpensive) I agree, I am really impressed

Not sure where I got the graphic Ric ?? I've had it in a folder for a long time. I posted it on AAM and got the same reaction, everyone agreed buy not entirely, maybe things changed or new information became available I"m not familiar w/ after this graphic was being used ?? I always found it a dilemma trying to figure out the difference between an Akro moonie and a Christensen, there always seemed to be one that fit in between, the Akro looking ones didn't always have fisheyes and the Christensen looking ones didn't always have the bubbles. I'm glad you chimed in on this. What makes a flintie a flintie ??
-
Yes, agreed, Akro moonies are flinties, flinties all have the conspicuous fish eyes I believe, so having the "fish eye" would make the "moonie" also a flintie. Same, same, spiral vs corkscrew ??

Ernesto = mrcom on AAM, he takes some of the best pictures of marbles I've ever seen using one of the simplest setups. Here, there & everywhere in between. The same people developed "Stretch Armstrong" .... I guess Inky's, Pea soup etc. are all in the "Muddy" Family !! Oh how things have changed Didn't mean to "muddy" the water !!!
-
Backlight it, muddies are all semi transparent (translucent) not opaque, one way to tell fer sher.

Yes, a NLR Ruby Bee, every one I've ever had av was sparse except one and the av in it was very very fine but you could see it w/ the naked eye.
-
Peltier NLR Red Bee :: If there is aventurine in the red ribbons then it's a Ruby bee "Nice MIb" Look in the dark veins of the red ribbons w/ a loupe, the av in a Ruby bee can be quite sparse and fine. Either way it's a Pelt NLR
