  1. Calling them Cub scout and Girl scout adds to the confusion to many newer to the hobby & makes I.D's hard for them. These names have been synonymous to certain manufactures for years. Cub scouts are commonly made by Peltier and Girl scouts Marble King. Call them what you like, they're your marbles, just trying to cut some of the confusion out for any newbies.
  2. X2, R U sure there isn't another cutoff point on the other end. Single pontil German Hand Mede's aren't easy to come by ??
  3. No Pelt, agree W Master, my second would be Imperial but Master is correct as far as I can see, IMO
  4. No color inside of the matrix, never seen another pelt like it. Yes the outside design resembles a miller type swirl pattern but still not seeing pelt ??
  5. Man, what a hot mess, not sure what it is, definitely has more than it's share of defects. You been posting some good marbles for discussion Parmcat.
  6. No Christensen, IDK what it is for sure. but you can rule those two out. By a process of elimination you'll get close. I think there were a few different manufacturers that made very similar marbles that's what makes this one somewhat difficult to positively I.D.
  7. Seeing air bubbles here also

    Vacor?

looks Vacor to me, Lion I Believe
  9. Might be excess colorant. Aventurine will sparkle, excess colorant doesn't. Check it with a bright light shinning on it not under or behind it. Looks from here like you may have a mixture of both. Av is sometimes created during a chemical reaction in the glass during manufacturing and sometimes intentionally added.
  10. One of my favorite German Hand Medes. At first I thought the sparkles in the green ribbons were tiny air bubbles. But I got my loupe out and discovered that not only was it av. but the marble was also a 3 stage, the green and orange ribbons aren't touching the white solid core.
  11. Moved to the lounge
  12. You can save them for your Chinese Checker board ?? I had a bunch I saved for fills in incomplete boxes at one time.
  13. X2, no pelt, IDK what it is, I have a couple guesses but want to be accurate
  14. A solid core for this "Thüringen Thursday"
  15. Navarre here, seeing pontil as well, not well made but !!
