I suppose so...it's like around here. Occasionally you'll have a farmer "donate" an old farmhouse, barn, or silo too the local fire department for training (intentional burns, scaling down the silo, etc). Swat or fire department, it's fun too check it out when they do it!

They are pretty...what the rain does too those made me think of my 2 Peonies out front. It never fails. Every time the majority of the flowers have opened and they stand tall and proud, a heavy rain comes and beats them down. Tears off half of the petals and all the stalks lay down in a circle. Takes quite a few days for them to even stand up straight like they were. Some don't at all. Seems the only ones that don't mind are those average sized black ants that farm the buds before they open!

I remember when I first started I never really backlit a heckuva lot. Now I do it pretty much all the time. It is pretty cool what one finds/discovers with a little light 😊 -
I'm going to be Spitting for next couple O days Ian's looking for me.

Wow, record rainfall too the tune of 12-16 inches in some places within a 24 hour period...or less. The type of rainfall they describe as "500-1,000 year events", meaning you might see this once in that time span. Wow, wow, wow. Still have I think 2.5 million people without power, with two counties that are totally off the grid and requiring total infrastructure rebuild. Storm surge unlike any ever seen down there. I guess Fort Myers began measuring such a thing in 1965, with it's biggest measurement being over 3 feet. They topped 7 feet in this. Not sure where their post office is located, but the mayor of Fort Myers said in correspondence with CNN that he was looking at around a 4 foot tall waterline on that building. Prayers too my friends and relatives down there. Stay safe as you come forth from shelter or as you head back home from where you evacuated from. 🙏👍 -

I watched it all morning, Jeff. STAY SAFE. Not so sure about those folks that are choosing too ride it out on their boats in the harbors down there. Especially in the wind/storm surge bullseye, where storm surge could be 12-16 feet above normal levels. Hopefully it's not boats on top of boats! Fingers crossed and prayers for safety for my Floridian family and friends 🙏 -
Forgot I had it...was digging through a Rainbo jar and came across it

Although we do have plenty of yummy squash, at least a couple dozen, and about 16 pumpkins, with the ones pictured my biggest ones 👍😊

Last of the peppers. Whatever is left out there is too small to worry about. Also just a handful of tomatoes. We'll see what makes it too enjoy the last couple of warm weeks. Sad day indeed 😭

And tonight, from Midnight until 8am, the National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for my area with temperatures dropping down to the lower 30's. Maybe the next night also. That will slow them down for sure. BUT, they might make one final appearance for the year because we're supposed to be back up to the lower 70's by the weekend!

Luckily, we didn't have much of a problem with those this year. Last year, different story as they set up shop in my foundation out front. All it takes is a small crack and those ground bees are on it. The only time I actually saw them in small groups around the yard this year was at the hummingbird feeders. This year was the year of the Wasp for me, like the one pictured. I rarely use my front door, and those things had built a sizable nest in between the doors! I burned up a whole can of Black Flag on it. Must have been at least 20-30 of them. And down the street at Patty's son's house, they were infested with them around their garage and shed. Betcha I destroyed close to 20 nest's around both buildings! I also get those oversized shiny black mud dobbers in the basement once in a while. They are about an inch and a half too two inches in length.

That one's nice too for sure 👍

I've got one that's quite comparable too yours Neo, only difference is mine has a single, tiny little line of yellow on one side and was ID'd as an Imperial. Nice Master you have there 👍

This one is kinda difficult to capture, so hopefully I got some good angles. There is one whole side of this 7/8 shooter that is one pocket of air, or a giant air bubble. There is actually a piece of one of the veins poking through into the air gap.

There's opinion #2...Hi, Ric! My peers have apparently saved a Tiger...as for me, I get headbutts

Yeah, they are nice...she took some even better close up shots than these! I'm actually getting one from her framed and 8×10!

Even has that wobbly, out of round trait one will find with MK's....maybe more opinions are needed? Interesting thought Steph 👍
