Check valves sounds pleasable for sure. Or carpet bowling as well. I have never seen one of these in a ball foot but there are rumors. Marble--On!!

I hear you there--what a drag it is. I once hit a railroad spike in a tree--sparks were a flying--too late--the chain was shot--same tree another spike. What they were doing there out in the wild, I will never know--two chains, one tree--Ugh for sure.

It was the cats hairballs for me--ugh--at least I wear socks to bed--lol.

I cut and pasted it then lightened it a bit Steph. Akro X2 I save on downloads when I can. Marble--On!!

These are the ones that I was talking about--nice images Ric. Not Ravenswoods--imho. Akro or Master glass. I appreciate all opinions of course--just a pig-headed guy here. Marble--On!!

I appreciate the fact that he picked them up--I love a good searcher. I keep all of the marbles that I find in my gardenš. Keep them all--they all carry a story! Marble--On!!

I have often wondered about the real maker of the marbles found in the later Akro Boxes. The #300,#250 and the # 230. These boxes were crossovers from Akro to Master Glass as far as my research has found at least. Many of them held what are obviously Master Glass marbles and some had what I would consider as ānewer stock Akro. The thing with me is the oxblood patch type that varies so much in color. The darker colored ox appears to be a more Master Glass type while the reddish or more refined appears to be Akro. Look into this further and perhaps you will find some answers. MarbleāOn!!

I am not sorry for keeping this post going. This one is not "Chinese". It is 5/8" and it deserves some more images and input imho. Letās allow the Pelts-Heads to really check this one out @Chad G. @IowaMarble @Fire1981 @tankgrrl29 and of course all of you that I may have missed. I will lay down by my dish after this--LOL MarbleāOn!!

Ron--they are all nice--nuf said! Those Alox nets are the first that I have ever seen--do you figure that they are "Paul Bunyans" in them?? Nice stuff! Thanks for sharing these! Marble--On!!

This one needs to be re-examined. More images are needed imho. MarbleāOn!!

My imagination is a great thing--9/16", not blue but white based--nice brownish colors that dive into the white (not blue) base. A tad of transparent glass that is involved-- A nice--well cooked marble judging by the little hit marks. I would sort this one as a Ravenswood--of course I do suck at WVS IDš. And I am a dreamerš. All opinions are needed and welcomed-fail and learn is my motto with marble ID's--especially WVS. This is a nice marble regardless. Marble--On!!

Here one one green, grey, transparent green and drizzle

This may help. I am sure that many who looked at this one wondererd the same thing. What is this?? Give us a better shot here. Marble--On!! -
Size always matters Joe2--thanks for listing it. It is a WVS and I will pass on an ID--even though I think you are right. Nice images! Marble--On!!

I believe that the blueish hue is coming from your lighting. Master to me as well--Nice images--try some full spectrum lighting--it is closer to natural sunlight. Natural sunlight is the best but you are not going to catch me out there right now eitherš. We all do our best! Marble--On!!

It may just be a crossover between runs made by Pelt--Just a guess. All opinions are appreciated and welcomed. This is a cool one for sure. Marble--On!!

The second image from the left shows a nice a nice hard hit and pit around it. This indicates to me that it is a well cooked and "annealed" marble. This happens when the marble is hit with another marble( or just dropped onto the concrete floor like my sausage fingers still do). The glass actually will expand outwards from the hit mark causing the surrounding glass to explode away from the center of the hit. All forms of glass are in a liquid state. If you set a nice round marble on a rock and came back 300 years later it would be flattened somewhat. Gravity rules our lives and that of glass as well. The newer, softer glass marbles will rarely display such damage. Fractures, subsurface moons, little white hit marks are more common with the newer marbles. This one is older imho. Older Vitro or Akro with a lean towards Vitro. MarbleāOn!!

This is a weird and nice one for sure, regardless of it being a true Pelt or not--I have some suspicions. The size saysānot a repoābut you never know. There were a few rascals in the past that may have made this one. If there are any weird looking little hooks or strange looking black spotsāshow them. MarbleāOn!!

The bottom two may be Jabo "Classics". The top left is a WVS of some sort. I can understand why the top right may be recognized as an Akro Oxblood---WVS imho. All opinions are welcomed and appreciated. Marble--On!!
