  1. I remember reading that they were numbered as a result of a lawsuit by Peltier. There were some distributed without numbering before the lawsuit as I recall. Did they make any in yellow? The repos are very nice--and affordable I have #146 half filled with bottom finders. ( I have to start somewhere) Of course as always, correct me if my memory is shorting out again. Marble--On!!

    WVS ?

It could be a Vacor "Tidal Wave" the "Liste" shows a few with some transparent streaking. Not a WVS imho. Marble—On!!
  3. "Backlight them all" and while you are at it hit it with some UV. It is a cool marble. Marble--On!!
  4. Nice group--even at😁 ten dollars. You did well. Marble--On!!
  5. No dumb questions imho. Here is a size list from an Akro Salesmans case (not mine) Marble--On!!
  6. I cannot recall seeing those 3 colors together in a Cat---Vacor might have made some though. Vacor mixed color cats come in a multitude of color combos. Marble--On!!
  7. Good to see you posting brother--eat those vitamins!! Marble--On!!
  8. A tad of Opal in that top one--Love it! Marble--On!!
  9. Well-The first image has a little s shaped cutoff and there do appear to be some dimples in the glass---the base has some translucency to it----But!!!
  10. Clear, well cropped images will help clear this one up Scooter. I know my Vacors and my Pelts--I looked at this one pretty hard with my image software---50-50 until I see better images. This is my best. Marble--On!!
  11. I love to log in and see that 38 folks were viewing this board at one time. Do not be shy, there is no judgment here. Ask or show us what you have and Marble—On!! It is free advice from some of the best!!
  12. This one is done. I may make some improvements with the marbles but I would prefer to keep the box as is. Enough is enough and you have to know when to back-off. The box was pretty rough and I did my best to get it back to square and plumb. The two middle rows were the hardest to find—try to find a white on black Akro cork—it sounds easy—not so. I had to back fill about 55% of the marbles and went with what I had received in the box. On to the next—I should have kept before and after images and the years involved. Oh well it took some time is all that I can say—What fun it was!! Marble—On!!
  13. Nice call Tommy--lets get on with it now😁. Marble--On!!
  14. My first thought was "Nice Champion" but I do suck at WVS IDs. Nice marble-- Marble--On!!

  16. That is some weird stuff to find in a machine made marble--very cool!! Marble--On!!
  17. Top left and top right---maybe--The rest are all nice Akro corkscrews. Marble--On!!
  18. We kind of highjacked Mojos post here. The red one---WELLLLLLLLLLL more opinions are needed. I say CAC. The amber one does show some signs of being handgathered. Marble--On!!
  19. You know what they say on "Gold Diggers"--"Find the Agate--Find the Gold". You better get a metal detector out there. They are trying to open a gold mine in northern Wisconsin---so ya never know. I thought sure that that soap dish was glass--nice shape and even cooler.
  20. Cool soap dish--any markings?
  21. An image showing what looks like a large cutmark (nearest your thumb) and one that shows the end of that small whip like white streak will help with this one. Nice marble. Marble—On!!
  22. If I had to guess, I would say that it a "Permanent Match". Marble--On!!
  23. Hello boris64, Parakeet is a collectors name given to smaller sized "Parrots". Parrot is actually a Vitro Name. I copied and pasted some info from this website https://www.marblecollecting.com/marble-reference/online-marble-id-guide/vitro-agate-co/ Vitro Agate also produced another type of brushed opaque marble called the “Parrot” that is collectible. This is a white base marble that has four patches of color on it. The patches can be blue, purple, black, yellow, and green (aventurine or not). "Parakeets" are 5/8” to 11/16” varieties of Parrots. Hope this helps, Marble--On!!
