  1. Akro Cornelians are and odd marble. In hand under direct light they will show no transparency, they appear to be opaque even though you may see some subsurface white just underneath the surface. If you backlight them they will show through and in many cases you can see internal structure. They are a semi opaque marble. I have never seen one with any purely transparent glass involved. I have one that I keep with my Cornelians that displays like a red “Flintie” when backlit—opalescent. If any transparent glass is displayed I would call the OP a well filled slag------ Just to add to the confusion, Cornelians were called “Bricks” by collectors in the early days of machine made collecting. The OP is not a Brick. Marble—On!!
  2. Here is a 25mm (about 1”) Vacor Atmosphere for my Sunday’s best. I just love these little hard to find devils—this is a good one. The first set is in my light room and the second set is under overcast sunlight. Marble—On!!
  3. That is a good question. I just lit up an original unopened Jabo bag with UV light and both orange and yellow glowers were inside. So, they were made close enough together to be packaged together. I guess that says something. It may have been years apart between runs but who knows? I also hit a Vitro bag (when they were a division of Jabo) with UV light and only orange glow emmited. Marble—On!!
  4. Yes--nice coverage on that one. Marble--On!!
  5. X3 nice marble. Marble--On!!
  6. I am thinking that this one is a Jabo. They can fool the best of us and maybe it fooled me too. More opinions are always welcomed and appreciated. Marble--On!!
  7. Here is a ¾” Jabo “Last Dance” Oxblood loaded marble from December 2008. Marble—On!!
  8. Here is a ¾” marble from the “Last Dance” Jabo Tribute run from 12/16 2008. Do not ask me the name; I am lucky enough to know the run date. Love it— Marble—On!!
  9. The OP is an odd one and I am a little surprised that MK was not mentioned, consider it done. More opinions are needed and welcomed. Marble—On!!
  10. It is a very nice Vitro imho--names an desigations, I am not into--with a few exceptions---mostlly Akro. Marble--On!!

  12. I would eat it in a minute--or three over coals. I love the throwback it will spawn and grow many more. Fresh water fish--what a blessing!
  13. There are many sellers that come here for ID's, what better place in my opinion. I buy online and welcome you as a seller that is trying to represent. WARNING!! Many sellers that come here become collectors☠️. I welcome you and your honesty--keep them coming! Marble--On!!
  14. Oh, you will get better, with no doubt. We were all where you are now--some just forget--I remember trying to ID corkscrews and it took some time until I was confidant. Now I can spot them without my glasses. Pick what you like and research them--they will stick out like a sore thumb before you know it. Put the rest aside until tommorrow/next year or so on. Something will just click and away you go. Research is the key and there is way more info to research today than there was while I was growing up--- in marbles ID that is---some info is good in these times but there is alot more that is bad. This hobby/addiction is not one that is learned as fast as todays society wants it to be. Patience is our motto in the world of Marble collecting. You will find what you want sooner or later--even in these later years. This is the place to check out the bad research vs the good. Keep them coming and never be sorry for posting. Continue to----- Marble On!!
  15. Yes, a Pelt that just did not quite make the mark as a Rainbo imho. All opinions are revered . Marble--On!!

  20. OOOhhh, This is a tuff one and I do not blame anyone for laying off. I will suggest Akro Agate just because of the rounded cutoff marks. Akro and Master, especially in the earlier years had very similar patches and colors. Marble—On!!
  21. I want to call this oxblood--not too sure though. Not an Akro IMHO. Nice marble--WVS in my opinion. All opinions are appreciated. Marble--On!!
  22. I have rescued cats, dogs, turtles in the road and a variety of other critters that just, well needed it—why not a marble? I figured that this one would end up in a landfill if I did not bring it home and I believe that it deserves it. I posted this one a while back, these are new images. I have not put this one away since I received it and today I really checked it out. Two ground pontils and a hair under 1 inch. Any advice on it’s maker is appreciated. Marble—On!!
