Red But unique Red.. Medium sized ( I.D Plez
akroorka replied to Kidneyrobber's topic in Marble I.D.'s
Here is a 1 - 11/16" "Destroyer" and a 7/8" "Leapord". The Leopard has a "chromic finish" such as the one that you show. I just cannot seem to get a good shot of it--the "chromic". Vacor makes some great and some not so great---that is why we collect--we all want the great. Marble--On!!! -
Irredecent / Clear / White Swirl (I.D. Plez)

Kindey, There are many rare and very collectable Vacor marbles---do not sell yourself short. The swirls are still the king, cat eyes just do not seem to keep up with the popularity/collectability of collectors.( I am not knocking cats—just an observation) I do like cats—even the ugly ones. “Rare and Crazy” can be attributed to any marble maker, from any time period. Vacor may be the latest along with Jabo (Champion and MK “newer’ marbles also). Jump onto the train that is current and you will find some oldies involved as well. The day is coming when Akro corkscrews are all but collected then we will all buy from estates—mine included—I hope. Marble—On!! -
These are nice images William, The small pink one is just a very nice marble—transitional—not Akro. Pink in any Marble is not common. Transitional marbles will look like Akro corkscrews and visa-versa. This is because Akro Agate used so many variations in color, nothing to be ashamed of here, I thought that the first image was a very cool Akro Cork and they might just show up in this color combo—who knows? The second one is a WVS gone wild imho, not an Akro. There were a few companies that made a nice egg-yolk color besides Akro. Marble—On and keep asking for sure!!

Here is the thing with Vacors Kidneyrobber(love the name), They made many different runs of marbles and they did change up on the naming of some of them. I will bet that I have seen seven different runs of “Serpents”. This may be a Vacor marble but the Chinese are producing marbles that are quite similar. Check this link for more info. Just do a “toy marbles” search. https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Marbles-Glass-Marbles_60242667531.html?spm=a2700.galleryofferlist.normal_offer.d_title.34c24b89v2SrPx&s=p Marble—On!! -

Lets just call this one a Vacor game marble Kidney and not get too excited about it. Just mho of course. Marble--On!! -
This is a long post for me, image wise but what the heck, let’s make this one an ID and a “show me what you have” thread combined. I know that many of you collect marble games and if you cannot give me any info just feel free to post what you have collected, game wise. I will/you will, love to see them all. Here is a Akro Agate box that has suffered from “closet crush”. I wonder how many times “Mom” had to move it and considered tossing it. I am glad that she did not.It was obviously never played with (notice spot #5).The rest of the Chad’s (sorry Chad, no disrespect) are still in the box. The marbles are Akro Agate Pee wee’s—26 of them, what a deal! This game was also made on the West Coast. It has the same “cool little dude” and trademark. The wording on both box tops is the same. This is one of two that I have seen. It is a bit larger than the Akro Agate version and holds some nicer Vitro 5/8” as player marbles, 26 also. You tell me the age of these Vitro, pretty close in age between the two is my thinking. Also, any info on these games will be appreciated. Thanks, Marble games on!!! and-- Marble—On!! as well!!

This is my best today. Yes, just a box—just a box that was as brittle as a Lays potato chip when I got it. Three/Four story attics will do that. I am glad that it was not exposed to light. The colors are really good---it just takes some patience to get them back to form. I have not handled this one for quite awhile—it is getting close. I do have the marbles than came with it; they are the least of my concerns. Marble—On!!

Well, if you only had one, I would pick the first two for my one---very nice😁. Marble--On!!

Well, If I was a WVS guy--which I am not, I would say that this one is a Heaton---best Guess😁. Marble--On!!

Black Pixels / UV Reactive / irredecent Smaller Sized (I.d. Plez)

Oh, by the way , Vacor made a series of Planet marbles such as these--not to be confused with what you show. -
Now do not take this wrong, I love to ID Vacor marbles. I collect them and am more than happy to help. Here are a few links that may help---keep them coming, the more that I ID Vacors , the better that they stick in my head. Marble—On!! https://www.billes-en-tete.com/liste_billes.php https://www.mikesmarbles.com/reference/mexicanmarbles This is Steps latest venture and it is a great one many links to original Vacor literature. https://marbleconnection.com/forum/34-marble-related-documents-news-etc-especially-items-with-dates/

These Vacors used to be called Planets in the earlier version, now they are referred to as "Galaxy" Marble--On!! -
This is another Vacor marble. It may be an unnamed version. Vacor did not name all of the marbles that they produced and many odd ones showed up in “Variety” nets. (it may be a “purple cats-eye”) Vacor cats are all over the place sometimes. Marble—On!!
-
This one is a Vacor "Dragon" and you are right---they are cool. Marble--On!!
-
BRICK--ON!! Nice marble Fire!!
-
This is a nice one Jeremy, not a Pistachio imho. Pistachios in hand look black as far as the swirls are concerned---they may actually be brown--but this one is a bit light in color for me to call it one. More opinions are needed of course. Marble--On!!
-
No Ric, I thought this one---ooops. The one that you show--#5 does not convince me of being an Akro corkscrew, I would have to see more images. It looks more like Merlot than Champagne anyhow and that title--- "champagne" is new to me. (red champagne? who makes these up?) Marble--On!!
-
Do not get me wrong---I love these old boxes and search for them every day---not a marble box though. Old Box On!!!
-
This one is a Pelt Gladys, I have no doubt---Merry Christmas--weird as it may be---you do have some of the best/strangest of all types and makers. Keep them coming. Marble--On!!!
-
The background is the thing as it is with image one. Try a black backround and more images to call this one--or better yet---sunlight---natural--no flash. I think that it may be a great one, or just a white on clear snake--which is great in my book. Marble--On!

The "Score!" thread. Post your exciting finds here...
akroorka replied to bumblebee's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Not too shabby--a nice find for sure. Marble-On!! -

Oh--by the way your images rock---
-
I really doubt that this is your first Gladys--maybe the first one that has been Identified as such. You just have some very great marbles and I always look forward to what you have to show to all of us. Keep them coming--you will never bore me or anyone else on this board---great---really great-- as always. Keep them coming!! Marble--On!!
