I am thinking "Enchanted Forest" by Vacor. I am not familiar with the name "Green Jewel"--educate me here please. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Marble--On!!

Now questioning this guy too…pelt mcs?
akroorka replied to Guiltynotguilty81's topic in Marble I.D.'s
This type of Pelt does go from quite anemic in the yellow to quite deep and rich. I agree with the former posts here. Nice marble! Marble--On!! -
I agree with Alan--the size is right for a double ingot--no doubt--thanks for posting the size. It is not an Akro imho--maybe a Champion--ya never know unless it is in hand with this type. Nice marble--nice find--a keeper for sure. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Marble--On!!

It is amazing how close this one looks like a Vacor “Wicked Owl”. Back in the little dimpled part of my memory (like a dried nut—maybe a fruit like a raisin) I remember that Vacor did purchase some Peltier machinery. They (Vacor) more than likely copied it and continue to run such. Imagine trucking this type of machinery to Mexico back in the day. I will defer to @Fire1981 and @Chad G.for a positive ID here—I think Peltier Panda is right on but I am not a name guy. “Miller ” is an older term that seems to have lost some relevance. Back 25-30 years ago—I would call this one a “Miller”--all day long. Marble—On!!

Peltier--no doubt. Peltier marbles were made in Illinois, Ottawa to be specific. They were very successful using what they had in the back yard. I will appreciate any other info as to what the Ottowa plant had in its back yard and why a glass plant was located there. Most marble companies were located in either WV or Ohio because of the abundance of nice working minerals and the major resource of natural gas to fire the furnaces that melted the glass. I will try my best to give some history in each of my posts. I encourage any “older collectors” to do the same. I get it now, many newer collectors and a few older ones. This knowledge needs to be passed on--sometimes I feel like I am talking down to the masses and I need to get out of that mindset. I was raised in this hobby with books--some are right some are wrong but they were the very best that I could find answers with and they were the best at the time for any knowledge achievable. We may all be wrong at some point or another—this is progress—not a mistake, just our best shot. Never be afraid to be wrong—this is called learning in my book. Marble—On!!

Here I go again--quoting myself. It is not what we as collectors would call a "Popeye Patch". I am leaning towards Akro here--from the "digs". It looks half Vitro and half Akro--- a really weird one for sure. (really weird!) This is my best based on the images posted. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more--- Marble--On!!

I applaud this for sure. No dumb questions regarding marbles—maybe some dumb answers—I have given plenty of them but I have always learned from them. Marble—On!!

I was once a “Lurker”--one who looks and is afraid to post. We all welcome you that are hesitant to post here. “TheMarbleConnection” welcomes all that have any questions about marbles. If you feel that you are not welcomed—contact any of us here and we will sort it out for sure. Just show us what you have and be rewarded by some of the very best knowledge available on the "interweb". I love you Lurkers—and I hope that some of you contribute to the hobby by posting what you have to offer—we all learn everyday—from folks such as you. Marble—On!!

This is a weird one but I would sort it as a Vitro. Just my opinion and I hope to see some more on this one. Marble—On!!

The colors are right in your final image. Is there any AV in the black? This is a strange one for sure--I wish that I had it in hand. More opinions are needed for sure. Popeye??--maybe a cross-over, meaning one run that crossed into another run of another marble design. Killer marble for sure. Marble--On!!

Yes really! You have some recent Vacor in that bunch---and some really old German handmades as well. Marble--On!!

Names do not mean collectability all of the time. There is nothing wrong with calling this one a Vitro. Kokomo is a very cool name--but a hard one to catch up with imho. If my career was made collecting Kokomos—I would have about 100 marbles and a lot of lost time not collecting others. Collect what you like and of course— Marble—On!!

Convince me that the base is clear. It looks black/brown from my point of view. It may be an Akro--what size is it? Yes, I see the eyelashes and the cutmarks----it does not always mean Akro though, it means worn shears cut-off marks (the yellow looks wrong) It may also be a Vitro or even a Vacor given the background or base color imho. I need better images to give any judgment here. Nice marble regardless--a patch--not a Popeye Patch unless the brown is clear. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. The Akro digs never seem to amaze me. Marble--On!!

I agree with "Exotic Vitro" Melissa, an earlier model though imho. Nice buy ! Nice marble!! Marble--On!!

I question the middle one--show more please. Killer marbles! Marble--On!!

Game played Jabo marbles are a rare find---if this is one-- More opinions are needed--I like it regardless. Marble--On!!

Jabo imho. Do not forget that "the game" is still being played with "newer' marbles involved. Marble--On!!

They all stick out. from the 1890's to the 2020's to me. You will have to some more sorting to get these straight. Start some sorting according to what you see and desire to have evaluated. Post them as you see them--no more than 20 a bunch. This is too much to sort for me. Nice bunch! Marble--On!!

Lets get it involved here and "Fire" it --UP!! This is a trusted website for sure. I hope to see some more interest--your "best" is all that you need. I will send mine for sure. Marble--On!!

I wish that @Ric was around to see this one. He knows his Vitro. I blew this one up on my PC and looked very hard--very nice images. I have not seen one so nice before but I think that it is a Vitro, a full coverage “Tiger eye” imho. I wish I knew whether or not that black line is Oxblood or not. The older the company gets, the less quality involved. MK did step it up in the later years however imho, the later MK’s can fool anyone—me included—many times. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Marble—On!!

I know Al; these can be tuff to differentiate. Has anyone seen a MCR in these colors? I have not seen either a MCS or a MCR to tell the truth, in these colors. This site Id’s this one as a “Fruit Cocktail’ which is a MCS according to the site. https://www.peltiermarbles.info/clear-rainbos I cannot call it—just food for thought. A very cool marble and it needs some more attention. Marble—On!!
