    Woe!

I can only imagine you holding on while I drive---ZOOOOOOM!! I just love g-force. Marble--On!!
  2. OK, I will not open it😉. What do you think about the size of these? Marble--On!!
  3. A classic for example only. This one shows the "classic signs of a "polished" marble. Notice the fine/sharp edges on the exposed bubbles, the evident exposure of the “cleaned out “Hit Mark” and the “pontil” that was avoided during the process of “cleaning this one up.. These are all things that in hand are hard to see and avoid during a direct buy, thankfully this seller has given us a direct “eagles eye” to these things that need to be considered when buying. I really do not blame this seller for posting this marble—he/she may not be aware. I am not the “Marble Policeman”—this is just a great example to share with those who do not know or are willing to spend without a very good look at what they are spending. If anyone ever takes offense to you taking out a lupe and a bright light to look at the marble/marbles that you are considering to purchase—Walk away. https://www.ebay.com/itm/266661732819?hash=item Marble—On!!
  4. I just received this bag of marbles. I have never seen this header before—“Challenger”. They are Pelt “Bananas” but the funny thing is that measured though the bag, which is quite thick, I figure these to be 9/16”. Measured through the bag, the ones that I measured are @ 5/8”including the plastic. 100 count Pelt Bananas—maybe the challenge is that they are “smaller”. I really do not know one way or the other. Just cool imho. ( I want to open them—really I do) @Al Oregon or @Chad G. or @cheese may have some great input here that I will appreciate. Give me whatever all of you all here on "The Marble Connection" can offer and it will be greatly appreciated. I appreciate all opinions and look forward to them all. Marble—On!!
  5. This one is called a "Fire--Eye". Marble--On!!
  6. I think so Fire. These big ones never behave--just do not ask me the "type". Marble--On!!

    #3 is an Akro--nice one! Marble--On!!
  8. Nice glow! Marble--On!!
  9. Did these come from the USA? Marble--On!!
  10. Yes on the "Silver Ox" and what Chad says about the glow. I recently purchased one with faint streaks of “glow” that I think is special. Yours blows it away as far as glow goes. The “Milky” may be from another maker—it may be an Alley imho. Check your books! Regardless, they are both nice finds—very nice. More opinions are needed and welcomed. Marble—On!!
  11. My first thought on the OP was--Akro "Cornelian??". They are slag’s with a base that looks solid but are in truth semi transparent when backlit. They usually do not have very much white involved. Maybe a mix Carowill?. Marble--On!!

    Woe!

Nice finds Boris! If you see a little white Mini Cooper with a black roof following you--it is me trying to pick up your leftovers🤩. Marble--On!!
  13. If this is your thing--of course share it. We all love the varied interest of all collectors here on "The Marble Connection". It is cool and these are some great images that you posted as well. Marble--On!!
  14. Here is my favorite to this day. These are found as David Howell Picture frames if you want to attempt one yourself. They are bolted together with very strong glue involved, so take it in the garage and soak it with solvent before any attempts at removing the nuts. They will only fit 9/16" marbles. Marble--On!!
  15. No lie here, I just love these things. I get them whenever I can for a decent price, regardless of the condition. I only need one of each--- which may be in the hundreds. These were manipulated back in the day, and yet today, to show more desirable patches or marbles, they only came with Vitro marbles in the original condition. Watch out for those being sold without the bottom intact, there is a steel “cap” on the bottom of these, it should have at least the steel and the markings on the steel vary quite a bit. The steel cap on the back will not just fall off, if you find one without it, it is more than likely a bad attempt at changing the marbles It is hard to tell what is real and what was faked. They are not easy to change and not worth the while—just for your information. The broken down one that I show will eventually show some Akro Agate corks just because I do not throw anything out, I keep it and repurpose it according to my wants or desires. Do not worry; I will mark it as such for future generations. These all came in original condition with Vitro Marbles mostly with “Clearies” or “solids”. Once in awhile they did have nice “Helmet” types included. The smaller ones hold 5/8” and the “Master Trays” hold 7/8”marbles. If anyone has any of these that they consider as junk—just PM me for a trade, just get one and you will be hooked like me. 18. Stay away Mojo. Marble--On!!
  19. Thats a big "All Red"" imho. More opinions are needed and welcomed. Marble--On!!
  20. I see five colors--six including white😁. Parrot sounds good to me. Marble--On!!
  21. Master sounds right. Marble--On!!
  22. I am with Steph here--you never know do you? Here is a link from AAM https://www.allaboutmarbles.com/viewtopic.php?t=34074&sid=cdcf88b5406bf87a84e44dc92b592d97 Marble--On!!
  23. Nice images! I have seen just enough Akro from the digs to know that these are possible. I will lean with Al. Marble--On!!
  24. This one measures in at just under 7/8”. Not quite a Windex color—darker, with white striping. I backlit this one showing a cool big bubble right in the middle of the marble—it is very nice. This is why I study Vacors and have for years, it does resemble some Vacor made marbles. This one is a Pelt and I need a name, if there are any. I just have too many things going on in my little marble mind to remember many names—like a dog watching TV—Names of marbles? Thanks Steph for the work making the “Study Hall”. I use it Dailey.
